Well, the Hostel wanted a 100% rating at Hostelbookers, so here a few tips to accomplish that. First: the kitchen is a bit small, more cooking plates and space to cook would be appreciated. Also a little shelf with herbs like pepper, salt, oregano etc would be very welcome. The breakfast in the morning is really great, but the amount of guests using the common rome to have breakfast doesn't really fit i there. A bigger common place would improve the hostel as well. For the rest: PERFECT!

I enjoyed the Riga Hostel very well. First impression was very good. The room and everything else, open kitchen, breakfast was great. The best were the real kind people which are working there. They answered questions all the time and did it with a smile. Best wishes and hugs to Zaiga and Maija.

We had a pleasant stay thanks to the hotel staff who helped us with a smile in their faces. They also recommended us a restaurant with traditional food very near to the hostel which is a plus for the hostel.

Helpful staff. Very good location. Free access to the computers & WIFI. Very good breakfast. 1 of the shower's door was broken (but fixed on the next day morning), 2 WC out of order. Strange atmosphere, very different from the reviews. A curtain in the twin room would be great to avoid the light coming from outside. The mattress on the other bed was very unconfortable (5 cm thick) We only stay for a night, but no sure to come back as we slept badly

Rooms are nicely furnished but carpets are disgusting, you don't dare to walk on them barefooted. Rooms to the street are extremely noisy, you can also hear people walking in the corridor. During our stay, 3 showers of 4 were out of order, it took quite some time until they were working again. This is unacceptable for a fully booked hostel on a weekend. Sinks in the bathrooms were just ridiculous. They were so tiny, we could hardly put our hands under them. Kitchen was too small to eat.

I really like the staff, they were very helpful, always supplied everything for breakfast. And I loved that the toilets and showers were always very clean, although I didn't like that so many were out of order the time I was there. Also the wall decoration was lovely and the room was very nice.

lI stayed for just one night but could pretty much say that I really enjoyed the time I was there. I like mostly the cleeanliness of the hostel, even in shared spaces like the bathroom... Breakfast is nice with good bread, butter, juice and fruits. The atmosphere is warm and cozy.

I had a single room which was right above McDonald's. The result was the constant smell of french fries.... Although the hostel is very near no city centre, bus and railway station I give it an 'average, for location, because of the smell. The health breakfast on Sunday, prepared by the staff, was really great. Further no comments.

The level of sanitation is breath taking.absolutely excellent and the staffs are real professional and exceptionally friendly. I do not recall there names, because I was with my fiance, but it was a great place to stay and would always be my place to stay whenever I am in Riga

Unfortunately, there was only cold water for most of our stay. The breakfast could have been better too: Latvia has such good bread, why do they buy tasteless toast every day? Mattresses were uncomfortably soft and the room tiny. Most of the staff were very friendly.

Cozy, efficient little hostel: spotless rooms, helpful staff, good breakfast and a central location: just a few minutes from the bus stop for the airport and a few floors above a McDonald's. Would certainly stay again.

Everything was brilliant, except that the WiFi didn't work in my room, but that's easily fixable.
