In terms of facilities, the hostel is very, very basic and simple except for the lounge, but it's cheap so that's no problem. The owner, Howard, was absolutely fantastic, really friendly guy. He makes sure everyone meets everyone and takes them out for dinner most evenings, as well as giving out free beer; great socially if travelling alone. However, my trip was overshadowed by getting eaten alive by bedbugs. Kind of ruined my long weekend, but it seems I was just unfortunate as nobody else did.

Overall a great hostel with great staff, The owner makes sure to look after those that want to party and those that want to chill, He always has something going on, whether it be a trip to the night marjets, a ride around town or will take u out to dinner. Top bloke that keeps me coming back to this hostel again and again!

Howard, the owner of this hostel is amazing. He will help you out with whatever you need, is extremely laid back, and also will take you on a bicycle tour of the city. Hostel beds were pretty good, nothing amazing but comfortable and clean. Great location, great hostel.

Good place to meet other travelers. Nice vibe and good locations. Good communal areas. Owner is very knowledgeable and can tell you all the good food spots. Needs some extra showers though, had to wait in line in the morning.

Our stay at Ringo's was fantastic! The location was great so was easy to get to and find plus walking distance to all the main sites. We had a standard private room which was nice and comfortable with a fan and great value for money. Howard is extremely hospitable, open and willing to help out with any tips of what to see or do. He organised a BBQ to start of the New Year and took us for a bike ride followed by dinner the next day. Highly recommended to stay here if in Mallaca!

The reason I like Ringo's is because Howard - who manages the hostel - introduces everyone and plans outings for food or bicycle trips at night through the town - that was fun! The hostel also has a roof top where one can relax and free hot water etc. I think it will only improve once the new bathrooms are installed. I stayed in a room and it was nice. The two living rooms were also great but I think the couches could be given a really good cleaning and b etter reading lights.

The hostel seriously needs renovation! There were bedbugs in my bed, the fan was making lots of noise and hardly bringing any relief. On the good side - the owner of the place is a very helpful and friendly guy, who creates a great atmosphere!

Howard, the hostel owner, is very friendly and hospitable. He is always willing to lend a helping hand on whatever you need, be it information on the nearest transportation or hostels in other cities. The highlight of my trip was Howard taking us out on a nighttime bike ride around the city to take photos, just for fun.

Howard was an amazing host! I felt really at home here! I did not feel like a solo traveller staying at this hostel. A real community vibe. Thank you Howard for a brilliant couple of days. ( I still haven't forgiven you for entering me in the Half yard of beer drinking comp though!)

we stayed in a double-bed aircon room with no windows facing outside. The bed was quite queasy but for the price we paid, we are satisfied. Funny the owner doesn't have strict rules when we should pay him. We always woke up before he did. And sometime hav to wait for him to wake up before we pay him. We arrived late the first day and was very unfamiliar with the facilities. 2nd day was better. The shared toilet smelled badly the first day, but better the 2nd day. Only one hot shower bathroom.

I loved Ringo's. I was there for Fri/Sat/Sun nights. Howard arranged excursions with other guests to night markets & other dinners, & was great at making sure everyone met each other so it was quite a social hostel. The location was handy for the markets and the old town, & easy to get to & from Melaka Sentral for the bus terminal. A tip: if you have an early departure, settle up the night before as there was often no-one at reception in the wee-hours. Would definitely stay again. Thanks.
