My girlfriend and I loved ringos! Howard made us feel so at home and was so helpful! We went on an amaZing bike ride to a local market for dinner! Also he has a great selection of movies! We loved our stay at ringos!

GOOD: Good location. Not on the noisy place, but central enough to go around. The owner and staff are very accommodation (walking tour , suggestion place of interest, and connect us with fellow travelers). Free tea & coffee TO IMPROVED: The window cannot be open. Breakfast included is just 2 pieces of white bread and margarine. Only 2 bathrooms are working. Not many backpackers around like we expected, maybe because they closed the big dorm. On the last night I also got bitten by bed bugs :(

Great hostel, great atmosfeer, great manager! Not the cleanest hostel tough, but perfect for backpackers and other young travelers.

Lasting impressions: Howard, the owner, is very gracious, and kind. He joined myself and a couple other travellers on the roof top chill-out area the first night, and was very helpful in explaining what was worth checking out in Melaka. He also gave us a city tour on bicycles for free, which was a ton of fun, and as mentioned, free! I recommend checking Ringo's Foyer for sure...great vibes, a relaxed seating area both inside and on the roof, clean private rooms, and breakfast's included.

The owner is very attentive and the rooms are spacious. The bed we stayed in was uncomfortably hard, but it didn't keep us up at night. Not a far walk from Jonker Street and the dutch square historical area.

Ringo's Foyer is a lovely guesthouse and Howard an excellent host. However, after spending one night in a double room we woke up to a lot of bedbug bites. It was a shame as we would have liked to stay there longer and had originally booked 3 nights. Howard was brilliant about it and sorted us with accommodation elsewhere as they were fully booked, and was very apologetic. It seems they've had this problem before so fingers crossed they can find a solution.

This is a great place. Howard is very friendly and helpful. The hostel is 2 minutes walk for Chinatown and easy walking distance for most other attractions. The room we had was massive, clean and comfy. My only regret is we didn't stay longer! The bike ride tour at night is also great fun!

Ringos Foyer is great place to hang out and meet nice people from all over the world. Its spacious with many rooms and plenty of space for socializing in at least 3 "living rooms" plus amazing party rooftop as a bonus. When you plan to stay in Melaka, long or short, definitely go for RF! As value for money speaking, Ringos Foyer was the best in my whole SE Asia trip.

it is a GREAT GREAT place to live in!!! we mistakenly booked a room without air-con but the host immediately changed a good one for us. although it is a little bit shabby outside the house(you get what you pay for, anyway), the interior decoration is very very cosy!! the atmosphere is great and you can make accquintance with many many people and together to go around Melaka.

There is dust in room furniture (just 2 twin beds + 1 wall shelf, should have enough cleaning time to clean the dust), floor sticky while we fist step into the room that we will stay a night in, bed sheet with marks on it, floor mats in front of the bathroom were sticky when step on it. I like aging stuff but should be maintain in the situation that let people feel that they are clean. Blanket in room are way too short for us, can only cover about half of our body (we are ~172-174cm).

It was a bit far from main street in Chinatown. It wasn't the nicest place, but it was ok and the price was ok. But I think you can find better with almost same price... There was a fridge for guest and guests also could bay some soft drinks and beer from there. Guests could also rent bikes for a low price.
