Ringos Foyer Guest House Reviews

Location was excellent and Howard is a brilliant asset to Ringo's Foyer- very helpful, especially as I was a lone female. He introduced me to lots of people so I was not alone around lunchtime etc. Highly recommended!

Howard is a superb hostel owner, lots of fun and always introducing you to new guests. Very fun hostel. There is a slight downside in it isn't amazingly clean, that being said after travelling for quite a while we've been in much worse!

Dorms are very basic but communal area is clean and comfortable. Howard is a great source of local knowledge. Everyone is invited to go out for dinner together which is a great way of meeting new people, especially if you're solo traveller.

Howard was really helpful n nice person, he gave us a discount for the rooms. thank you Howard for everything.

helpful staff. boss is so nice. staying here has so much fun. but a little far from the central chinatown. dorm is a little old, but cozy.

The owner of Ringo's was very hospitable. Eager to share his knowledge of Melaka and even bring you around town himself to suggest foods and locations. The hospitality alone would make this a great place to stay well in Melaka!

the staff is very nice , just the toilet was quite dirty and the air conditioned quite noisy but for a few nights was ok

This was a decent location but not in the part of town that draws visitors to come and see the city. The beds were horrible and the shower / bathroom were not so great. The staff really made the place but that only goes so far. I know that you get what you pay for but I would not stay there again, but I would consider stopping by to see Howard. He arranged a bike tour and dinner for most of the guests on the night we were there.

Howard was really friendly and welcoming and introduced me to the other hostel guests. He took us on an evening cycle ride around the town and to the night market. The hostel feels like a home with sofas to chill out on and movies to watch. I would definitely recommend this place.

Really nice hostel, the owner Howard is a top man who made us feel very welcome and told us everything we needed to know about Melaka. Our 3 bed private room was really good. The roof top and bike hire were also great features of this hostel. Whether you want to fully immerse yourself in the Melakan lifestyle or to spend your time relaxing Ringo's Foyer is for you!!

We only stayed here for 1 night and were greeted by Howard (the owner) who was really friendly and he had great recommendations of where to eat, the sites to see and even invited out for dinner with the other guests. Overall it is a great hostel the bathrooms could be cleaner but I would recommend to stay there.
