10 minutes walk to novo rio rodoviario. Easy to find.

Had missed our booking because of World Cup busy period (for a private double room) but have us a free night in a mixed dorm to ourselves which was good. The room was basic and old but clean and comfortable. The view was good and overall atmosphere was really good

Needed more power sockets and a warm shower. The bar was very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is good for the coach station and the centre and it isn´t too far to the metro (about a 10 minute walk).

Although basic, this hostel had a lovely atmosphere. Sociable bar and TV area and one of the friendliest hostel owners we have come across on our travels!

I only spent one night there. An extended stay there can surely be nice if you know what you are in for. So in the interest of transaparency here are some notes: the advertised bus station or airport pick-up does exist, but only for people staying longer than 4 nights. On the other hand you can get free rides to the center or beach. The hostel is new and still in the process of being refurbished. The area seems dodgy but is supposedly safe (according to owner). It's up the hill on Rua Sara.

Staff were very helpful and friendly, and took a genuine interest in helping. At weekends they had a free bbq and beer which was a very nice touch. The location is about a fifteen minute walk to the nearest metro and therefore a little out of the way. We moved location further south after a few days (pre-planned) and found it to be much easier to get around. The hostel itself was cheap and cheerful but nothing more.

owner is friendy nice breakfast but little bit far from bus terminal

What a wonderful place! It felt like a combination between a hostel and couchsurfing, because we got to meet lots of Brazilians, eat typical food, meet Andre's beautiful family and laugh lots! Thank you so much for everything Andre! Great FIFA Spot!

I just LOVED it. André, The owner, is a fantastic person and is very helpful. He knows everything in Rio and is soooo friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Very nice hostel staff, no speak English Hosanna ... (me neither), but she is nice and trying to help. The owner speaks English and is also assisted by the guests.
