Ive never had a better time staying here! It had a great staff and mumma always made the best crepes. The atmosphere is what makes this hostel. They provide different events everynight and then take everyone out for a good time. The rooms were spacious and you had your own bathroom. Great place to meet other travelers!

Your days in Lagos will look like this: Wakeup, Mama's crepes, beach, Odeon Cafe, beach, movie in the common room, drink, Nah Nah Bah, drink, 3 monkeys, inside out, sleep, repeat. I miss Lagos and the Cock family! Thanks for the hospitality Mama! Jeremy from California

i loved my stay here at the rising cock i made some great friends and enjoyed the atmosphere of the hostel. mama and papa sure know how to run a good hostel will recommend this to everyone : )

Obviously the party atmosphere prevails and most who stay embrace it, however for those tiny few who may, for whatever reason, not necessarily be into things like 'Booze Cruise,' the staff react with an almost butt-hurt confusion at your choice.

The most amazing hostel i have ever stayed in! the atmosphere and the staff are incredible, you make friends here for life! i have gone back to this hostel 3 times, and will keep going back!

Like the website says, it is a party hostel, so only stay here if you are wanting to party...every night. But it is a great location, close to beaches, bars and restaurants.

The Hostel was a little hard to find as it did not have very good signage and the locals were not sure where it was. However once we found the place the staff at reception were very welcoming. The place is definitely a party hostel and if your not into drinking every night you may not be in the right place. The hostel organised a lot of group activities such as trivia night and booze cruises which really helped you to get to meet new people. Also you must meet Mama! she makes amazing crepes!

Best hostel I've stayed at so far!!was only suppose to stay 1 night, ended up staying 3 & if I had more time would have stayed weeks! The staff were excellent-such good fun! There was nothing I didnt like at the Cock. Close to the Nah Nah Nah which was the Best feed I had also had! So so much fun here! haha the dorms also had lots of character, it was nice for a change to stay in a place with so much organised cauos.more of a family then a hostel. Mama is fantastic!cooks yummy breakie with love

Really party hostel!!

This hostel is the best! everyone who works there is amazing - especially mama and papa who run the place. Don't bother staying anywhere else in Lagos. This is where you want to be.

This Hostel is really what made the trip for my friends and I. The staff was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere relaxed and welcoming. We didn't want to leave!!

I had a really enjoyable stay, the staff were fantastic. It was a really pleasant atmosphere as everyone got along really well. Mama was a real pleasure to have, she made you feel right at home which was a real plus. The beach was just a short walk away, as is the main square and of course the bars are right around the corner.

What an amazing hostel! You are treated like family among the owners and the staff are some of the friendliest i have come along! So much fun, loved staying here!! Will definitely come back!

Rising Cock is freakin nuts!!!!!!! Loved it!! Be sure to listen to the (awesome) staff and go to some of the more remote beaches and eat at Nah nah bar across the street (BEST FOOD ON THE TRIP SO FAR!). Shout out to Ana, you rock my socks!! Everyone here is really welcoming, the hostel is in a wonderful location, and people here know how to party. Cheers to the cock!!
