This is the best hostel experience ever! You must stay here if you are wanting to party and meet incredible people! Very close walk to amazing beaches as well! Great food right across the street at NahNahBah - you'll want to eat there every night!

Had high expectations for this hostel, all where exceeded. Great staff with a relaxed and party atmosphere. Location is perfect, right near the beach and close to all the good bars. Thanks for a great week, will be back soon!

Unreal, you WILL have an amazing time at the Cock whether you plan to or not. Wicked party hostel, I fell in love with the staff and the guests. You're one big family, and Momma is irreplaceable and probably the coolest person ever. I absolutely have to go back here there's no question. Love you guys see you soon!

This is probably the best place in the world. Thanks of course to the people there. John, Moura, D, Mama, and Papa make this place. Soooo much fun.

The staff made the experience. They invited you in and made you feel like you were at a home away from home. They were friendly and a whole lot of fun. Great location for the beach, partying and restaurants. Easy to find using the provided instructions. The toilets could be cleaned more often. Especially considering the amount of partying going on. The rooms were also a little cramped. Loved Mama's crepes and magical drink.

I just returned back the hostel I spent four nights there during my spring break. The staff was extremely welcoming you felt at home as soon as you walked through the doors. They encourage you to interact with others and experience Lagos! Mama felt like my own mom when i was there. The rooms were clean and nice as were the showers and toilets. Overall just an amazing experience!

Excelent hostel. Staff takes the guest every night to the bars. Really fun, Good location, good commom room. If you traveling alone that place is really easy to meet others travellers

Lagos just wouldn't have been the same if we didn't stayed at The Risking Cock.. The staff will personally walk you anywhere that you need to go and take you out at night for a great time. You can tell they genuinely care for each guest & want to make sure everyone an amazing time. For example: 2 girls in the group we traveled with turned 21 while at the hostel, they made them a cake and were excited to celebrate with us. If you are visiting Lago's The Rising Cock is the place to stay.

Excellent value for the money! Great people, awesome free breakfast. They took us out every night and walked us to private beaches every day. Don't stay anywhere else if you're in Lagos.

This Hostel is the best I have stayed in, Maura, John and Dianna are excellent hosts. I have never experienced custom service this good before. The staff personally show you around e.g. walk you to the supermarket, beach, pubs. They take the guest out on the town as a group, and make sure you get back safely. Fresh home made crepes and lemon tea made by Mama in the morning is excellent. Beds, location, safety, common room are all really good, but it’s the staff that makes this hostel the best.

This is quite possibly the best hostel on earth. The staff are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to make your stay not just comfortable but extremely fun! The hostel is clean and spacious- and the breakfast mama makes every morning is a wonderful added bonus! I would recommend this hostel to anyone looking to meet new people and have a great time in Lagos.

Not much to say other than the rising cock is amazing. Had a fantastic time, even if it was low season and we were the only guests in the hostel! Enjoyed it so much we stayed on an extra 3 nights. Big thanks to mama, papa and john for their hospitality.
