This is a homely beachside hostel with excellent hospitality from Garrett and Candy, who really go out of their way to make a stay more enjoyable. It is very clean and the bathrooms are brand new. There is plenty to do in the area and its a great place to just chill out for a few days any time of year. This is the best hostel i have ever stayed at.

Thanks Garrett and Candy, even the weather was cool last weekend, but i still had lots of fun. It's like my second home, i can run away from my real home to relax in the Rising Sun Surf Inn!! It's the best hostel and surfing shop in the ilan, even in the Taiwan!

This is a FANTASTIC hostel! The staff is incredible -- knowledgeable, friendly, happy to help, committed to creating a communal and fun atmosphere -- and this hostel is generally just a wonderful place to come to relax by the beach and do a bit of hiking. I would highly recommend The Rising Sun Surf Inn to friends and hope to be able to visit again soon!

Haha Before I met u, I was a bit nervous because I had to travel w/elders and they nearly don't have the hostel experience. BUT You guys made my trip unforgettable, I&my mom&aunt will never ever forget ur kindness and warmness. Really thanks for everything u did to us, and I will surely recommend to my dear friends who have plan to visit Taiwan!

I just highly recommended this hostel to my other friends and asked them to go back with me in summer! we love this hostel so much; it was our first stay in the 11-day trip around Taiwan and undoubtedly it gave us the best beginning; all of us just couldn't help mentioning it again and again afterwards. the staff were just fantastic, making all of us truly feel at home and we couldn't have loved their warmness more! and should never miss their stunning scene looking out from the dorm window! :)

This hostel was one of the best hostel experiences I ever had. Highly recommended! The staff are really friendly and helpful. They are really informative about the places of interest around. The location is really scenic. it is located next to a beach, so you are greeted by the sea and waves everyday. But it is quite a distance to main towns, around 15-20 mins to the hot springs or night markets. The place itself is really cozy and small. The beds are really comfortable and clean! Free bikes too
