River Bank Hostel Reviews

This hostel was quite good. The only problem was, that it was too hot in the room where I slept. And also the fridge in the kitchen was not working. However, I liked my stay there and met some nice and friendly people.

The only problem is lack of reception at River Bank Hostel - guests have to go first to Emmma Hostel (located few minutes away). But the guy in charge of the RB hostel picked me up and led to my hostel very quickly, he was also there in the morning to check me out as agreed the evening before. You can also leave your luggage after check out at Emma Hostel, if you want to walk a bit around the city before your depart. Be prepared to give refundable deposit of 10euros or 200crowns for the keys.

If you are traveling with a group of people, this is the place to be. The rooms are huge, with no bunk beds. We had booked two beds in the 6 person dorm as well as the twin room, for our group of 4. The twin room was so big that all 4 of us slept in there. It is pretty much like renting a flat. Wouldn't recommend it for people traveling alone, as there didn't seem to be a lot of planned activities and the small size of the hostel would make it difficult to meet people to do things with.

Great central location in characterful 19th century appartment building right on the riverbank (as the name suggests). There is a good kitchen and a sitting room. The disadvantage is that reception is only manned when guests check in and out , and atmosphere seemed a bit lacking. Otherwise, a good base.

The beds were a little stiff, but I slept fine, and there was plenty of heat in the room. I wish the shower heads were still able to be attached to the wall because it was difficult to shower holding the shower head in my hand over my head the entire time.

This small and friendly hostel is perfect to spend your vacation, it is very clean and quite, it is just 5 minutes walking to the city center. I recommend it to everyone!!

We didn't like it at all. First of all, it doesn't have a reception and I didn't like the idea of being in a flat alone with people that I don't know. There was not heater and hot water in the shower, and the entrance to the hostel looks like a flat from a terror film, I don't recommend it at all.

I was four nights from 28 October to 1 November 2011 ... the reception is at another hostel the Emma distande not much from there .. River Bank is located in a beautiful building of the 800 in style and in a privileged position on the river Moldova with a beautiful view from the balcony, large rooms with a kitchen and a living room equipped with computers and free internet access .. overall I was really happy with my choice, really back '!

Theres no reception, so if you have a problem or need anything, you dont have anybody to ask for help. We stayed 4 days, and it was very cold becasue the heating wasnt working. First day, we told the guy that cheks in the guests, that the heating wasnt working, the solution was, another thin blanket that was really a joke. No trash basket in rooms and toilets. I wouldnt stay again here.

Just stayed for one night, I live in a small town near Prague was in the city for a night. River Bank Hostel is great, it's small and intimate which is a nice change. Great kitchen, comfy beds and rooms, free internet and WiFi, If you want somewhere chilled out and relaxed, rather than a party hostel, give this a go.

The hostel is very beautiful and clean, besides that: - The cleaning lady es ANNOYING, and she only speaks chec, so it's also imposible to understand her. - There's nobody in reception all they long, people just come for check in and out, and NO PHONE for emergency

Great location and great rooms. Price is very affordable. Stay was excellent except one group that was rather loud and uncleany in the hostel.

Good location, was weird we weren't advised that we had to meet at a different hostel. The housekeeper has an attitude as I saw her skitz at numerous people for no apparent reason. There was also a girl who had been sick all night then the day she checked out the housekeeper re-made her bed & didn't put any clean linen on it which makes me wonder how many people had slept in the same linen as me. Disgusting. The 2 males who worked there were great though and it was a really good location.

I felt really comfortable in River Bank Hostel. It looks really nice and people are friendly. Unfortunately there is no reception in the hostel, so that there is nobody to control noise at night.

This hostel was the best hostel I've ever stayed at in every aspect. It's beautiful and inexpensive, about a 15 minute walk from Charles Bridge and Old Town, just down the street. I would stay here again and I highly recommend it! You will love it too! There is nothing I would change about it.

Great hostel for you and your friends. Excellent location. VERY beautiful building! Amazing view from the widow! Clean and big rooms. Clean bathrooms. Big kitchen with everything you need. Great staff, communicative and helpfull. The only one thing that can be not very good that you can have loud neighbours. And in this case you will hear them clearly.
