I found a bed bug on my bag after I left, it didn't take anything from my trip away at all. As at least I found it and killed it, it's just something I figured I would pass a long. The bed bug also may have been from the bus trip I took as I found it in the airport while leaving, that being said: Your hostel was fantastic.

In a street seemingly devoid of a bit of greenery, Raymond's wonderful little hideaway is a fantastic choice. Clean, cool and chilled this was an excellently recommended and certainly worthy of many of the great comments that have already been said. We also got to park our motorcycles (two large BMW's) out the front on the minimal footpath. Thanks! Clarneil whatwouldulike2do.blogspot.com.au

This is a really wonderful place to stay and Raymond is an excellent host. He knew all the guests by name and would leave delicious treats for us in the kitchen (baked by his wife). The location is great, backing right on to the river and close to all the sights. A really beautiful hostel, I highly recommend it!

I enjoyed my stay at the Florian Shkrodra Guesthouse. Florian and his family truly made me feel welcome. A tasty evening meal and breakfast were provided. Bicycles were available for use. I took the opportunity to see some of the area by riding a bike through downtown Shkroder to the Rozafa Fortress-a site that I found well worth seeing. I would suggest taking a taxi to the guesthouse from the bus drop off.

This place is near perfect. The location on the river (with backdoor access to the riverwalk) is amazing. The building itself is beautiful. The rooms and bathrooms are spotless. And the owner, Raymond, is very friendly and informative about things to do and places to eat Melaka. Also, Raymond's wife regularly bakes delicious cakes and treats, which are put out in the communal kitchen for all to share. Great value and wonderful stay. Would recommend it to anyone visiting Melaka.

We fell in love with this place. You can relax by the riverside after a busy day around the sights. All the sights are a walking distsnce from the guesthouse. The shophouse is charming in chracter. The room was great. Althoough there's no breakfast there is always some yummy cake and banana's on offer. Thank you Raymond for a great stay. We'll definetly visit again. Great value for money and a place not to be missed in Malacca!

The room is clean and tidy. The design of the hostel is very considerate as each bed has two sockets and a locker. There are wifi on every floor but only the ground floor's works...

A quaint, nicely located hostel, but... BED BUGS! I got attacked by them, the worst bites have had on my world trip, i suspect they are living in the wood, which makes it hard to get rid. I should have turned back as soon as I entered the room which absolutely stank of bedbug spray. Bed bugs aside, the location is good & it has a nice view over the river. We found the owner really scary & rude & had to wait outside for 2 hours because no one would let us in.

I was very happy with the hostel. I liked the 'honour' system it ran, trusting the clients without the staff there. I also really appreciated the home made cakes that were regularly brought over!

Highly recommend this hostel - lovely and helpful staff; an excellent location for a relaxing break alongside the river as well as being in close proximity to the busy streets of the Heritage Site.

Melaka is quite compact, so this place is a great short walk to the main streets. Clean, home-ey feel to the place. Great, relaxed view of the river in the back.

Obviously, I love this guesthouse. The location and its character are main value for this guesthouse. And the price, it's cheap!

I very much enjoyed my stay at Riverview. An excellent location and lovely common areas in the guest house. Staff could not have been more helpful. I am a female and was travelling on my own. I felt very safe at Riverview.

it have been a really good place. only 1 comment to make: they have a policy that at the moment of your check out you can t use any more the facilities of the hostel.... i think is logical to dont let people maybe to eat or use the shower..... but the bathroom or the wifi? its not a thing will cost them to much to change. in the moment i read it i thought it was a little bit rude... its just my opinion. thank you for a nice stay. best regards, roberto,
