Booked en suite room , we'll worth it , does have other showers etc but have to walk right through the communal area depending which dorm you are in .

Friendly helpful staff mainly students working long shifts.Free PC use, good breakfast with coffee available all day,my 6 bed dorm was fine with river view large lockers under the bed.Great location about 20yards from most famous street Dluga. No problem drinking local beers bought outside the hostel.

Great little hostel with a very friendly owner. Was clean and modern. Only downside was that some of the rooms open onto the communal areas meaning noise at breakfast time and the rooms at the back of the hostel get the noise of a loud boat bar until the early hours. Earplugs are, however, provided!

the hostel is located in the city center, and all the destinations can be reached on foot! The room is clean and comfortable, but it's noisy at the night of weekend. Some unavoidable noisy from outside the window is not good for sleep! The staff is very nice and hospitable, and give me many useful infomation!

Had an awesome stay at Riverside Hostel. Derek and the team are great hosts and really make you feel at home. This should be your number 1 choice in Gdańsk!

Great hostel location just near the old town, only really let down by the lack of atmosphere - perhaps this was because it was towards the end of the tourists season and he hostel was fairly quiet, bit mainly because (most. not all) of the staff were quite aloof and distracted. Maybe in the peak season the atmosphere would be better, but overall its a nice hostel

Perfect location and amazing views from the window of the dorm! Really friendly staff, enough showers and toilets and pretty clean. Every bed has a socket and self, which is very handy. I would recommend taking the upper bed, the bulk beds are not very high.

Try to find a better accommodoation in better place and with better staff!

The location was absolutely perfect and what made it better was that the 10-bed dorm had an excellent view of the river with the Gdansk eye perfectly visible as well.

Great and friendly staff. Perfect location. Fine space in rooms and lots of toilets and showers. Nice and clean. Well it would be nice to have a towel on the toilet. Will come back.

Had a great night in Gdansk! Perfect location on the river. Small and cozy but still social. Cute kitchen, but could maybe benefit with another bathroom or two. A fellow traveler (Michalina) had been there a few days so she showed me around and even helped me book my transport the next day. You guys should hire her. She made my whole stay awesome! Also staff works in 24 hour shifts and I think that's bogus but it didn't negatively effect me. Really recommend this place.

Though 2/3 of the staff are responsible, the 1/3 that stays up all night partying and noise making until 5 A.M. with his friends from the street left me with a poor impression. Some guests were unable to enter or leave the hostel as he had fallen into a drunken sleep in the reception area and it was 8 A.M. That was a sad sight. Personally I could not sleep at all that night because of the alcohol and noise. The more reliable staff covered for him the best they could but there is no excuse.

Staff are fantastic! Friendly, chilled and always ready for a drink. Had a fantastic week in Gdansk due to choosing this hostel. I'll return. Great location 15sec walk from street with all the action. Choose the big dorm room to get the great river views.

Pros: The location of this hostel is very good and it has a lovely view of the river from the 10-bed room. 1 private bathroom/shower. Some staff members are really pleasant & genuinely nice & helpful. Cons: It's strange taking a shower with someone using the toilet in the same "air space." Some lockers are broken & the door is rarely locked - security issue? Some of the staff seem really unprofessional & more concerned with socializing than doing their jobs. Has a lot of potential.

Riverside hostel is definitely a place to feel at home on your journey. It's no surprise that they have even got awards for great staff. They are not annoyingly friendly, just nice and authentic dudes who like to hang out with travelers and help wherever they can. This creates an atmosphere that makes you like to sit in the common room, have a chat with anybody who's there and maybe start activities together. Whenever I come to Gdansk, Riverside hostel will be the place where I want to stay.
