Stayed here for a total of seven nights and would definitely recommend for anyone staying in Bristol !! The facilities were great and clean, the staff was very helpful with all of my requests. And the atmosphere was cool, you will meet some great people there. Only thing I would complain about is that you can't get hot water from all the showers, but that's minor compared to all the upsides of the place, speaking of experience after staying in A LOT of dingy places.

You can't leave anything in the kitchen or livingroom without an eye not even 1 sec, can be stolen (happened to me). There are lots of people living there (living like from 6 months ago), so it's hard to find space in the fridge or in the pantry. Small rooms. There are allways broken bathrooms, and sometimes the hot water is not working. For that price you expect something better. I didn't stayed in other hostels in Bristol, but people say it's the best value for money there. Hardly doubt it.

Hostel location is superb, you are right in the city centre. It was really busy all the way, from early morning until late night, so if you are looking for a quiet place, this one is definitely not recommended. If you care little for that, then go ahead. Other than that, hostel is relatively fine and clean. The two young ladies at reception were friendly and helpful. The worst that I can say about it are the cleaners, as they kept knocking on the bathroom door while I was having a shower.

This hostel is located in an excellent location, in the heart of Bristol city centre, in close proximity to main thoroughfares and amenities. But, to be frank, this hostel is more suited to a younger demographic, and it can be quite noisy and boisterous at times. But, overall, the hostel is very good, but not really suited to a more mature traveller.

I only stayed here for a night but i would stay again if i came back to Bristol. Rock n bowl is in a good location, and it seems social - a huge chillout space and kitchen. Kinda pricey considering you don't get a complimentary breakfast though.

I have stayed in many hostels across Europe over the last 6 months and unfortunately this was one of the poorer ones. Location and security were fine but staff were unhelpful and facilities were not up to scratch - especially the bathrooms and common spaces considering the price for a bed. It was also very loud on Friday and Saturday night with heavy metal music coming from the bowling lanes below until the early hours of the morning.

Hostel itself was really good atmosphere, people were friendly and nice and staff were cool, but the down fall was the showers. Either boiling hot or freezing cold. But everything else was fine! Location was great.
