Really nice hostel! Great lounge area with books, Xbox and TV. Extremely friendly staff, felt very much at home! Kitchen is brand new and perfectly equipped!
solid new hostel in heart of town, good kitchen, free wifi & nice staff. was a bit loud due to people in the hall in front of the room, but that's not the hostel's fault
I loved every minute I have spend in this hostel. Very friendly staff, clean place, can't get bored as there is a huge TV with many films/games you are free to watch and play, a free pool table, free tennis table, even a climb wall for 12dol you can stay there all day. Good internet access, 2 living room to hang out plus a nice big kitchen. Just perfect well done!
great location between iSite and pak n save, in the center of town. really unique with the climbing wall! awesome and helpful people at reception (dry humor) and, surprisingly for NZ, free (unlimited) wifi! tiny downsides: bathroom for girls is only on the first floor so that's a tiny bit inconvenient, and there's not really any space to sit/eat outside.
Great place, central, clean, big spacious rooms, fantisc kitchen, very friendly staff. Oh, free and reliable internet, a very rare commodity in New Zealand!
Good hostel in terms of cleanliness and security but loud on the "party nights" in Rotorua and lack of social atmosphere in the hostel.
Stayed here a couple of nights, Great location and very helpful staff! Bit strange having the kitchen closed for 2 hours in the morning, but hostels very clean! Meant to be quiet after ten but very loud drunk girl somewhere in the hostel keeping my whole room up late. However, no reflection on the hostel. Would recommend and definatly stay again!
Staff and facilities were great, common areas were brilliant but the room wants the biggest.
Pretty good hostel. Bathrooms could use a makeover. Barry, the owner, was super awesome and accommodating.
Good place, friendly and helpful staff. The only hostel I've seen with a direct view to a climbing/bouldering center from the lounge.
We had one night we needed to come back to Rotorua. We had such a great experience we came back here no questions asked. When walking in, we received the same hospitality we had the first time around. They even remembered us from our last visit there! The owners take great care of the facilities. It shows through their staff as well. Though the cleaniness of everything is necessary, it is the owners and staff that made this an incredible place
I would highly recommend this hostel to all backpackers. The location is ideal as it is right in the middle of town. Every time we walked in the staff would smile and greet us. They gave the hostel such a positive environment. You can tell the staff are all hard workers. The rooms, kitchen, bathrooms are all Spotless. You get much more than you pay for. I cannot rave about this place enough.
Great stay here, exactly what you want from hostel. Staff extremely nice! Especially Canadian guy at reception!

Great hostel, well located, lovely staff, big kitchen, and an indoor rock climbing gym in the same building. I was very happy with everything.
Great value for money, newly refurbished hostel with great facilities...table tennis, free internet etc etc.... Staff werw very friendly and knowledgable
Great location - near bus stop and iSite. Super friendly and helpful staff who advised on trips and gave money off vouchers. Free unlimited wifi and cheap use of desktop computers. Big common rooms and large well equipped kitchen. Staff even gave us home cooked cakes and popcorn. Very large lockers though we had a private room so didn't need them. One of the best hostels we have stayed in!
This place is alright considering how cheap it was. If you're looking to save money, I'd definitely recommend it because the staff is nice and there are some good features like lockers, day storage, a pool table, etc. However, the kitchen wasn't as clean as I would have liked, and it was definitely a shower with shoes on and don't touch the walls kind of bathroom. Free internet was nice though.
Almost faultlessly clean, well appointed hostel. Great location and really friendly staff who all made a huge effort to remember my name make me welcome. Free unlimited WiFi a huge positive. Main downside is the complete lack of atmosphere - the place feels a bit like a sports complex rather than a cosy hostel. Overall, definitely recommend.
Kind staff, helpful in terms of booking activities.
