Enjoyable stay. Staff are super helpful, and really make your stay enjoyable. Location isn't great but isn't bad either, not a bad walk or tram to the main spots, plus there is some very good restaurants and take aways nearby. However little or no atmosphere, good if you just want to relax after a long day of sightseeing. Overall an enjoyable experience

The good - Inexpensive (especially when compared with other options in Rome). Situated in a hip neighbourhood right next to the university - there's plenty of bars and great food options in walking distance. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Wifi is strong everywhere. Nice showers and bathrooms. The bad - This place has a constant smell of body odour. The breakfast is downright weird. Tiny kitchen. Only two toilets. No atmosphere. Rooms are quite cramped.

Staff were really friendly and helpful - Michael and Anna. Good WiFi. Simple breakfast (packaged cake. Smaller rooms. Lockers are small. Had a bad experience as room stank of body odour due to strange older man in the room, who took up 2 lockers. Bathrooms are spacious with really hot water. This is located in the university area. Right in front of the bus stop from the Rome Termini station. 24 hr reception. No keys to individual rooms, which means not the best security. Smaller hostel.

It was about a 15 mins walk from the Main Bus station and a 10 min walk to the nearest metro followed by a 10-20 min ride to most attractions. Reception was open 24 hours and staff were really friendly.

Staying at Rome City Hostel was really nice and relaxing. I spent my last two days in Rome there, and I had a good time. The staff and the other folks there were really friendly and helpful. Shoutout to Michael!

This feels like you're sharing a house with people rather than a hostel. I had a really great time here but if you're after the party hostel vibe or even just the hostel vibe stay somewhere else. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful and make an effort to know your name. Less than ten minute walk to train station but a bit far out from everything. It was really quiet and peaceful. I enjoyed it a lot . Nicest staff ever.
