Rossio Hostel sets the bar very high. I am yet to find a comparable hostel, even though I have stayed in a few dozen. I've been going to Lisbon for weekend-breaks once or twice a year in the past 6 years and I can't imagine staying anywhere else.

It was one of the best hostels I've ever staied in. The day starts with one of the staff asking whether you'd like scrambled eggs or pancake :-) Our room (3 beds) was spacious, everything's very clean and the staff is very nice. The only negative thing was the loud surroundings, e.g. the city's garbage disposal service in the middle of the night or the supermarket receiving new goods in the very early morning (5 am). So better bring earplugs with you...

Perfect except for 2 things. No elevator if you are staying on the fourth floor and there there is no wi-fi on the fourth floor. Other than those, this Hostel is perfect. Location is the best. The common room is the best of all the hostels we ever stayed in, very clean all around.

Amazing hostel! Our room was so clean, as were the bathrooms. Staff were SO lovely. Helped us get lost property back from the airport and even made us breakfast to take away on our last morning there so we could get away on time. Recommended a wonderful free walking tour and food places. I've stayed in many hostels and this was my favourite.

I had an amazing time at Rossio Hostel! The staff is friendly, helpful and they speak several languages. The rooms are clean and spacious. The best part of my stay there was the hot breakfast every morning! Most hostels give you bread, butter and jam, but at Rossio, I got fresh eggs, every morning...this was one of the best hostels, I've stayed at. Thank you guys, I enjoyed my birthday weekend!

Rossio Hostel is LOVELY!!The airport bus dropped us practically outside the door, and it's very central! The staff are friendly and helpful and the whole atmosphere of the hostel is calming and pleasant. We stayed in a private room with a shared bathroom. There were two full bathrooms to share between four rooms which were perfectly clean at all times. The beds are comfy too.Breakfast is served til 11 and it's YUMMY -chocolate pancakes are a winner!!Highly recommend Rossio Hostel :D

Many thanks to Marco - for his company at the hostel and his recommendations for Fado bars. The room we had was beautiful and, in spite of being in a busy neighbourhood, it wasn't too noisy at night. Free computer access is always a plus and was much appreciated. The lady who cooks the (hot!) breakfast in the morning is the loveliest lady I've ever met, even offering my boyfriend and I seconds!
