super nice central place to stay. meals are good and not expensive, staff very helpful (best way to see temples, bus to phnom penh, etc). only minus- missed the backpacker vibe a little, maybe because it's not high season?

This was a brillant place to stay. The staff were amazing and had good banter, both the Cambodian and English staff. The room was a good size with a decent shower and aircon. We even had a tv with dvd player and there were dvds to watch. Good food and drinks. About 15 minute walk to pub street which we didn't mind. We also organised seeing the temples with their tuk-tuk driver who was lovely. Overall a very good place to stay with excellent staff and atmosphere. Caroline Ellis and Scott Dixon

The staff were all very helpful with any inquiries I had. One staff took the time to explain the map of Siem Reap, local sites, and booking options for Angkor Wat. I was also pleased that the food prices were not too high and great portions/quality! Everyone was always friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend!

Hostel with exceptional relaxing roof to child out, also they have a pool, DVDs and borrow books; Very helpful staff. They work with very reliable motor drivers who takes you whenever you want. Take into account that the hostel only accepts cash.

We had so much fun staying at this hostel, everyone is friendly and very accommodating. The place is also clean and has a nice bar downstairs, plus good location (few minutes away from the Angkor Wat and Night Market) We will definitely go back to Rosy Guesthouse on our next trip to Siem Reap, and oh! Don't forget to look for the friendly cat, "Branxton" ;)

absolutely outstanding guest house! After six months travelling nz and Australia we booked into a private room for a bit of luxury! Was extremely well priced, and room was huge and cleaned daily.DVD players in rooms with free rental, free wifi throughout the hostel and free laptop rental! Khmer staff absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough for you. We ate there two nights and the food was lovely, and in line with local prices. Only a 15 minute walk into city centre, and around a 2 dollar tuk-tuk.

Rosy's Guesthouse was brilliant, after a hard day of temple trekking it was a great place to come back to. With decent food, free pool table and DVD hire, plenty of beer it had everything we needed. However, we stayed in the cheapest double which got extremely hot in the evening even with the fan on, so I'd suggest paying a little more for a better room.

The staff of the hostel, especially Kunthea, is really great. They are eager to help, explain what kind of tours to Angkor Wat you can do, give you a map with sights on etc. The hostel was very clean and the food they offer in the restaurant was very tasty. Only negative point: there was not pressure on the pipes, so taking a shower or using the toilet on the upper floors was not possible. I could use the one’s on the ground floor instead, so no big problem.

Owner Comment (Show)
Thanks for your nice comments; we'll pass your regards onto Kunthea. We're currently working on the water pressure problem (a Siem Reap wide issue) installing holding tanks and several pumps to fill our three tanks so all bathrooms will have water as normal asap. Until then our ground floor bathroom is fully functional and available for any guests who have an issue (normally our shared bathroom rooms). Happy Travels. Rachel, on behalf of Rosy Guesthouse

Rosy Guesthouse was very helpful with our travels and safety. They arranged a car to pick us up at the Cambodian border - a great taxi driver. They have a little movie theatre set up in the lobby, gave us a lap top to use in our room, have a wall of movies you can use in your room dvd player and excellent, friendly, english speaking staff. We enjoyed eating our breakfast in the upstairs balcony wicker swinging chairs. It is also right beside outdoor stalls of fruit, food and bike rental.

The single bed with fan was very small and very hot. But you get what you pay for. It was clean and comfortable.

Lovely staff, prime location if the backpacker scene is where you get your thrill. Staff are very professional, and very accomodating. Less of a hostel and much more like entering someone's home. Staying here was a highlight of my time in Saigon.

Rosy's was great!! The staff was definitely the highlight- very friendly, accommodating and super helpful booking tours and onward transport. The room was clean and had a tv with DVD player- wide Selection of free rentals downstairs, great for relaxing after a long day at the temples. Wouldn't recommend it if your main goals are social, but for a clean room, excellent staff and quieter location, you can't beat it!!

The only point for improvement for Rosy is the water service. There had been a time that water isn't available. However, the owner mentioned that this is currently a general concern in their area in Siem Reap. If so, the local water service provider should address this.

This place is fantastic. The staff were so so helpful when I'd had my iPad stolen in town, Simon even drove me on his bike to the apple retailer. The budget rooms are quite small and hot, but for a private room still good value. The bigger pricier rooms are great and spacious. The lobby restaurant area overlooks the river and they serve great food. The atmosphere is relaxed with people sharing tales of their days at the temples etc. it's easy to get a tuk tuk from the gh to old town for $1.

Very friendly and helpful staff. From the hostel you have to walk 15min to the famous night market and pub street.
