I'd like to thank the very friendly staff of this hotel. They were a lot of fun talking to, and not at all pushy about arranging trips, as some other comments mention. The hotel has a great location if you like to be at the center of things. Really, the only thing that I can remark is the breakfast which was underwhelming. Very clean hostel, airconditioning in room. If you do not have itinerary, Mohammed can arrange a full trip to Aswan, Luxor, Cairo, Oasis for a cheap price with tour guide included. The rooms are clean, with airconditioning and are remade everyday. Also provided are internet access, breakfast and phones for local and international use. Make sure to request Room 34, it has a beautiful balcony and excellent view of downtown Cairo. The people at the hotel is very friendly and have good trips to the turistic places. Is close to the Egyptian Musean (10 minutes walk). Clean bathrooms, air condition in all rooms and satellite TV. Good value for money! cheap accomm and good basic facilities. the air con in the rooms was rather handy! One thing though, with the tours they offer - they dont include entrances and other optional activites so it can become quite expensive! they also take you to some places of no interest like the perfumery and \\\"bazaar\\\" which are tourist traps, much nicer to buy things from the markets -10-15EGP cab ride away. better option then the tours is to get a taxi for the day. cheaper too.Good value for money! cheap accomm and good basic facilities. the air con in the rooms was rather handy! The staff made it so easy to do everything - they made extra sure I was always safe and enjoying my time. They arranged all of my tours around Egypt for me- I can\'t imagine trying to figure all of it out on my own. I would most definitely stay here again. Do NOT book tours that last more than a half-day with the hostel. They charge TRIPLE the price (I confirmed this by speaking to tourists from different hostels on the same tour) and the service is inadequate (going through desert on bus with NO air conditioning). I think they ge their high rating from 'offering' to show you how to fill out the hostelworld rating form when you leave. Do NOT book tours that last more than a half-day with the hostel. We got moved up to Rameses 2 upstairs, but all the same guys. Place was nice with an amazing view from the balcony off our room. Our shower clogged at one point and they got a plumber out pretty quick. Was annoying to have to leave the key, but overall a good experience, expecially for the price.
