Very nice little hostel to stay in. Like a big family house with hot tub, nice lounge area with flat screen TV, roomy kitchen with good facilites and best of all: NO BUNK BEDS but proper beds for everyone even in dorms =) Would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

A bit hard to find because it's in a one-way street with (limited) parking in the backyard. Private room was nice, even though it was a bit strange that the bathrooms upstairs only have tubs. Downtown is easily reachable on foot, but you'll need a car for the major attractions. And the smell is not the are of the hostel - it's the whole city ;). 1$ will by you quite a bit of Internet.

Comfy beds - no bunks! Clean hostel, located right in centre of town. No lockers but that was the case for other hostels I stayed in in NZ.

Had a wonderful stay at Rotorua due to the hostel. Sleep quality superb, kitchen just awesome and location just superb. Ended up staying additional days and would highly recommend to anyone who wants a nice and quiet hostel, good night sleep and enjoy Rotorua.

Everyone can sleep in a row. No bunk beds! That was really cool and nice! Hostel is big and it feels like you're staying in a lodge. Staff were nice! It's a good place to stay!! :)

We stayed just one night there. The lady at the front desk gave really good information on the city. The location is right in the center!

The staff was incredibly helpful and showed me where everything was and how to get around town. The location was ideal (3 min walk from the i-site) and the rooms/facilities were very clean. The kitchen was a good size and the common area very inviting so it was easy to meet new people.

The hostel is very close to the central bus station. The front desk staff very knowledgeable about the walking trails and points of interest. The room, dorm for 6 very small, barely room for luggage and walking path in between.the beds. Should have been allocated only to 4 beds. The kitchen nice well organized and a few dining sitting areas, inside and outside. Nice hanging lines outside for your laundry.

The staff were incredible, it was a lovely place to stay which felt like a home. I loved the beds too!

We really enjoyed staying at Central Backpackers. Super close to everything and great house!
