Kia ora, willkommen, Welcome. Planet Backpackers is under new ownership in 2012, owned and run by intrepid travellers (His name is Martin). We're eager to welcome you and hear your suggestion to turn this place into the best most happening hostel in town!
This fantastic purpose built property is located just metres away from the I-site and bus station, a few more meters to the pubs, clubs, hot pools, cinema and more.
We have large and small dorms with double and twin rooms available. All dorm rooms are spacious and clean and mostly outward facing.

The property also has a fully equipped kitchen, relaxing lounge with wide-screen TV, internet access with skype phone, WiFi, travel desk and sunny outdoor courtyard.

We have FREE car parking, FREE tea and coffee, FREE luggage storage… and we're still thinking of more free stuff.
We have our very own travel gurus who can book all your crazy and cultural activities and give any advice you need on your future travels in NZ...if you're lucky you might even score yourselves some cheap drinks if you book with us because we're nice like that!

We want to make sure people have a good time and can meet new people so we've got our own fun girl Sarah who organises hot pool trips, movie and pizza nights, daily walking tours and much more.
