Rotorua Planet Backpackers is owned and run by intrepid travellers. We have large and small dorms with double, twin and single rooms available. All dorm rooms are spacious and clean. The property also has a fully equipped modern kitchen, relaxing lounge with Sky TV, cheap Wi-Fi, travel desk, free car parking, free luggage storage. We have our very own travel gurus who can book all your crazy and cultural activities and give any advice you need on your future travels in NZ and great discounts on many of the local attractions and activities.We want to make sure people have a good time and can meet new people.

I completely enjoyed my stay at this excellent, one-story hostel located right in downtown Rotorua, very close to the grocery, restaurants, shops, the spa and many activities. Many guests are foreign students who work in town and who stay for longer period, so there is a unified feeling among them; but they are very inclusive of travelers like myself. Rose, the manager, is so helpful and takes very good care of the whole family of guests. It's a quiet, clean place with good amenities.
