I arrived late/early because of greyhound delays, and even though Tom said he'd leave a key, he didn't...allegedly because I called and changed my reservation! The only hostel I've stayed at in a year of traveling that doesn't have a city map and expects you to pay for your room and do chores!!! If you're short request a bottom bunk, as there is no ladder to the top bunk. If you're on a budget it's fine for a night or two, just don't expect any sightseeing help or info from staff.

Very cozy atmosphere, love that they offer free breakfast, kitchen/wireless access. However, there's no soap in the bathrooms, and my bottom sheet didn't completely cover the mattress which was kind of gross.

Very friendly, relaxed atmosphere. I appreciated the free egg-and-pancake breakfast. A great place in the American Southwest.

We had a good private room. The house is a bit older, but they painted everything, so it doesn't look like that. Only in the bathrooms you can see it is a bit older, but they clean every day! Great place to discover Albuquerque!

I got there late & slept until 4:30 AM then I packed up & left for the International Hot Air Balloon festival. It was within 15 mins. (driving distance) which was really nice. I got to drive through old downtown Albuquerque on the way which was nice too. My only complaint about the hostel is that my mattress was shoddy, it dipped in the middle pretty badly, also the hostel told me the Balloon festival would take debit so I paid with my cash--turned out the festival ONLY takes cash.

This is an ok hostel. It is conveniently located between the old town and downtown. I was glad I stayed in a single room (upgrade only $5) because the dorms seemed a bit worn out. Not much to do in the hostel, so you have to make your own fun. Brownie points for the extensive (eggs, pancakes, toast, oatmeal etc) do it yourself breakfast options.

A great little hostel about 15mins walk from the Amtrak/Greyhound station. Ideal location for visits downtown or to the historic Old Town. VAST choice of free breakfast (scrambled eggs to pancakes and syrup!). The rooms are lovely, the staff very friendly and helpful at all times. You do have to go out and create your own fun, though!
