It was the first time ever for both of us to stay in a hostel and we are both in our sixties!! We would definitely do it again.

the best staff i ever met is KAROLINE HÖLTZL. Such a nice girl, funny and sunny. The kitchen was smelling ugly every day, i think its from the washable tube. Clean and warm heated rooms. nice view from my bed to the river and the gooses inside- i loved it

Thanks a million for your feed back. Karoline and all the team have helped make Rowan Tree the top rated and best hostel in Ireland in 2009,2010,2011 and most recently in Nov 2012. I will get our maintenance guy to check out the sink drains today , but our kitchen is spotless. Most of our rooms overlook the beautiful river Fergus which has lots of wildlife including ducks, otter's and of course the geese which are the most beautiful alarm clock :)) We hope to see you back again soon. Rowan Tree team.

It was very very cold as they were closing the following day, so heat wasn´t turned on all night or day. I didn´t had a good night nor could I rest well because of the cold room!!!

Hi, Sorry that you had the very unusual experience and didn't enjoy your stay with us :(( We actually were 50% full on the night you stayed with us and we really like our comforts and I can assure you that the heating was on ( otherwise we would have had 70 people complaining all night) but maybe it was turned off at the unit in your room ? We have friendly and helpful staff at reception 24hours who would have resolved the problem immediately if you had notified them. Hopefully you will come back again and we will make up for this mishap by treating you to a nice hot chocolate with marshmallows in our award winning cafe bar next door. Regards Brian

This place was great!! The rooms were nice and clean, and warm! It felt very secure (magnetic lock key card things). The staff was a great balance of low-key, and very helpful. The location was very convenient to everything in Ennis. I would very much recommend this place to travelers. I'd say it raises the bar for what people are expecting out of hostels. Great value for the low cost.

Basically everything you needed :) staff were really helpful! Went the extra little bit to make your stay easy. Got upgraded to a single room, which was nice. Type of hostel that you wish you could find everywhere! Definitely would stay again :)
