Staff were extremely helpful, especially so in organising an early morning taxi trip to the Rapid Railway station. In the end the staff arranged for a family acquaintance to take us in their taxi since the local "green taxis" were unwilling to make the journey. We did find this several times in Suzhou...taxis refusing to make journeys that appeared to inconvenience them! So get prepared to do some walking. Staff assistance with seeing the local sights however was poor and could be improved.
