Sharing a room with 4 others and is cosy. However, good mirrors in room for putting on makeup etc. Free wifi and all other facilities acceptable. Any drawbacks are made up for by a great host . Extremely clean and very helpful with any questions .

Had a very pleasant stay. Owner is very easy going and offers some good local knowledge which is always nice in a big city. Very comfy rooms all round very enjoyable stay. If ever in Edinburgh again wouldn't hesitate to call and stay again.

Great location just at the bottom of the Royal Mile. Small an cosy place, very nice friendly staff. Hot water, free WiFi, soft bed. Everything we could want.

Jon was very friendly. The bed was comfortable and clean- importantly nice and warm. The shower and bathroom were both clean- which I appreciated

Hi, at all , I had the great time in saturday night, I met friendly people , I was like known all my life Mrs Jon . He's a erudite person and funny as well.... finally I had good time!

Interesting place to stay, great location with easy access to the Royal Mile and the Old Town/City Centre. Room was cosy but comfortable, and the Wifi and Shower facilities were great. Host was very sociable and gave us a crash course in Scottish culture, and was full of great tips. Would stay again.

Royal mile is great, a little different as its a second bedroom in the owner(Jon)'s apartment. The bedroom has 4 beds and is pretty cozy. Location is close to the royal mile and many pubs. Jon is a great guy, super friendly, we had a few great conversations over some tea and he offered up food as well. Jon is well travelled and kept me right up to date on current events. Enjoy your stay at Royal Mile.

Absolute nightmare. Deceptive description. It's literally just a 2 bedroom apartment that you share with the owner. No "young team" just a middle aged man who was incredibly unprofessional. He was aggressive, and cursed and yelled at the other guest before demanding he leave while in the shower over a money dispute. I felt incredibly uncomfortable and unsafe and would never recommend this. Worst experience. Plus it was isolated in a residential area.

Hosted by Jon, an enthusiastic and knowledgeable local, this place is in a great location and a minute walk to the peaceful Arthur's Seat. The bed was comfy (so much better than other hostel beds experienced on this trip) and each bed has their own block out curtains so sleeping is easy. The Wi-Fi is fast and continuous and there are enough charge points for all of your electronic gadgets. Free car parking on the street out the front proved to be handy. I will definitely stay here again.

Jon welcomed my friend and i with a good laugh and a run down of the room and how to go to get the royal mile. Less than 5 minute walk to the bottom of the royal mile the location was quiet and convenient. The bed was warm and cozy with blackout curtains than made sleeping in all too easy. If i ever find myself in Edinburgh again ill be hitting jon up for a bed long before i even consider looking elsewhere.

This hostel is a small and dark apartment with two rooms, far from the description available. The first room has 4 beds for travellers. The second room (next to the kitchen) is inhabited by the owner. The kitchen is small and not clean and the breakfast is not always warranted. The hostel and reservations are managed in a very unprofessional way, and I do not recommended to stay there. BUSCA OTRO SITIO

The description is all lies and the pictures are fooling. This is a two bedroom apartment and the 'young hostel team" is just a fifty year old man who will try and fight you. It was not a good stay.

excellent friendly and informative place

In a small side street right beside hollyrood and the royal mile you find Jon's appartment. Jon is a great host and you will feel at home right away. The place is clean and I had a really good time there. I can only recommend this place if you plan to stay in Edinburgh.
