Not a bad place for the money. New York is really expensive ! So this place helps the wallet a bit :-)

Cannot say enough how lovely the staff were. They helped me out so many times with directions, calls, booking a shuttle bus. Thankyou! Will recommend this place to all my friends (=

Very nice hostel. I think it's one of the best value/price in NY city. The location is excellent and the staff is very good as well. I'll come back there for sure next time I'm going to NY.

The room was way too small for a two people. That bed was good but you could not stand together in the room and we had no cupboard for our clothes, so we had to leave our stuff in the suitcases. The room was warm but the heating pipe made strange loud sounds!! The location is great next to the central park but overall I would not come back since I prefer the atmosphere in a hostel better.

Our bedroom door didn't have any locks in it and they only gave us soap on our third day there. They don't tell you which facilities they have, you have to bump into them to find out. While we did have a TV in our room, it only had 3 channels available, none of those were any good, just repeats of some tv series or commercials. As for its location, while not in the center of the city, its real close to one of the many subway stations, so its really easy to move round town.

Comfortable but basic. There was no communal meeting place and nowhere to make coffee or tea. But it is clean, the beds were comfortable, and there was a TV in the room. Location is good. There is a Wholefoods market nearby.

I was quite disappointed with this hostel. My partner and I were orginally given one room, which we stayed in for several nights. After a few days, we recieved a handwritten letter under our door saying that we were given a wrong room, and we were required to move or else pay the difference for the larger room. Well, to be blunt, the price that we paid for the first room we got was a total rip off. Staff were quite rude at times and the room was not up to fire, health and saftey standards.
