This is the BEST location imaginable, and I'm very glad we stayed here. The staff are very courteous, friendly and kind -- a million thanks to you! The rooms were so clean I was astonished! The free wifi is fantastic (it doesn't extend to their family suite in the other building, but that suite has tv!). All in all, I would definitely stay here again.

Really a nice place to stay in prague, just near the charse bridge, and old town. The staff so friendly.

very good hostel. it provided everything a traveller may want/need. excellent location (just 5 minutes by foot to every place Prague has to offer). staff was very friendly and eager to help us in anything we needed + gave us a lot of information on what to do (concerning sightseeing and nightlife). the room was big and warm, bathroom clean and hot water was always available. overall a very very good hostel. :) thanks for everything :)

Great hostel---friendly staff, perfect location. We even got upgraded from a 6 person room to a 4 person private room, which was awesome.

Location is perfect, but its very noisy outside at night (we stayed over weekend)! "Hostel" is a normal house with normal apartments. Apartment contained bathroom (fine), kitchen (very poorly equipped for max 4 people, we were 6), bedroom with double bed (fine) and living room with satTV, 2 filthy armchairs, table with only 4 chairs, couch (used as bed) and 3 "beds" from ikea that really sucked so we slept on the floor. Staff was fine. Didnt try breakfast (have to apply a day in advance).

Very nice stay! Our room was actually an apartment with a lot of space and a private kitchen. The location is perfect right between the clock square and the Charles Bridge. It´s not a party hostel.

Royal road is in an amazing location. I booked a 6 bed dorm and then found out it was split in 2 and 4 bed rooms. Bed was extremely uncomfortable. Curtains were not wide enough to cover window so you get woken up by the sun. Kitchen was not really available for guests to use so not great if you are wanting to cook your own meals. Not a great place for meeting new people.

Awesome location and fantastic hostel. only complaint was common rooms not being very inviting or sociable. otherwise highly recommended, especially if location and value for money are your no 1 priorities.

No air conditioning, floor fan did not work, washer & dryer did not work, stove did not work, they are not quite honest in advertising with hostel world. The location was excellent and the breakfast was very good. I wish they would be more honest in advertising what is offered. The apartment was very large --- so if you don't need air conditioning, it is a good place to stay.

From the reviews I read that once you book at the Royal Residence Road they may fro some reason to transfer you to the their sister hostel Yan's Residence. So when 1 day prior to my stay there I received an email informing me about this I was not surprised. I called them and insisted that I booked the Royal Residence Road and that's where I want to stay. After a short conversation they changed my reservation back. Apparently, if they think that you will be loud they want to send you to Yan's.

Well, it is not an hostel at all. It is more like a cheap hotel in Prague. No atmosphere. It is difficult to meet other people. Common room closed at night. If you want a cheap and comfortable hotel go there !!

My main point is that it's not pleasant to be redirected to other hostel ones you have arrived to the one you booked. Any way, in my case I was only going to stay one night so it wasn't worth to look for some other place and I was upgraded from a 6 bed dorm to a 2 bed dorm. I'm actually reviewing Yans' Residence. Nice breakfast included. The only thing was that the placed missed some personality and charm but was very good in staff attitude and cleanliness.

Location is perfect but rather noisy at night due to nightlife and bars nearby.
