Our aim is to provide our guests with a greater knowledge of nature and adventure sports and to raise awareness of our environment, in an eternal desire to respect.

Enjoy the warm welcome that you will receive from owner Jorge L�pez Le�n, the first Chilean to have travelled into space from Cape Canaveral in the United States. Jorge has extensive travel experience accumulated over six years during which time he was able to retain the best of each of the hotels and inns where he stayed. Thus, simplicity, friendliness, openness and respect for other cultures are all features to be found at Hostel Ruca.

Here you will find an alternative space to share and exchange fun experiences with people from all over the world. We aim to create a warm and homely environment in one of the most beautiful places in the south of Chile. We also aim to encourage an appreciation of the cultural values of Puerto Varas and the surrounding area.
