Its like being invited to stay in someones home when they don't want you there! I will never stay again

Ok facilities and good prices, unfortunately the athmosphere is not too friendly at this apparently family-run hostel. Beds are very hard, too.
Worst stay in South America! They charge you for everything! And the place is way too crowded! It is really small, too many people and beds, poor/small/dirty kitchen and only 2 toilets (which are also used for the campingsite). Shouldn't be to hard to find a better place in Puerto Varas!
I had a great stay at ruca and the owners were very flexible and accomodating to changes I made in my reservations. There were a lot of people coming through the hostel, which means many chances to meet new people, and also some long lines for the bathroom! All in all it was a great place to stay, they even had wonderful beer on tap!
The host (and other staff) was welcoming and very helpful with tips around the city. Others in the hostel were also very friendly and nice. The room we stayed in was large but next to the toilet, kitchen and living room which meant it was very noisy. If you like to party, stay at this hostel as people were up every night partying. Sadly, the mess the next day was disgusting as noone cleaned up after themselves in the kitchen. Repulsive. Great location and a really fun town.
Dorm rooms were fine, but no lockers and very little space to leave bags. Only 2 bathrooms for 20ish people inside is not enough, but with 30+ more people camping outside and using the facilities, you can wait over an hour to use the toilet, or double that if people are waiting for showers. Common areas and kitchen are also overloaded, and impossible to use with the number of people staying, camping and random friends of staff members who hang around all day and most of the night!
Average for location and room size. However rooms dirty and beds don't have a proper base just hand made. One if the worst I have stopped in and luckily there is loads of other great hostels in town. Maygoua 2 is great !
This was nice hostel. The owner is helpful and friendly. The downstairs double private room was very nice, though our friend in an upstairs two-person dorm found it a bit stuffy.
