This was a really good hostel if you're looking for a quiet night, not a party hostel. But if you're looking for that scene then kata beach isnt for you. Big dorms that are well ventilated and hot showers. They are attached to the rumblefish scuba centre which was really good and well priced :-)
Great place to stay if you're diving or at least snorkelling. The same can be said for Kata in general though.
was OK,mainly just a bed somewhere peacefully for me,though just fans in the room,so very warm still on a night
The location is perfect as Kata is quiet but with everything (restaurants, cafes, market) close to the hostel. The staff is very friendly and speaks perfect English! They're very helpful giving tips on the cheapest places around for eating/drinking/shopping and they also have tours with discounts available for booking. Rooms are very basic but the price is perfect, plus the place is quite clean and it doesn't really matter that there's no aircon, since the air at night is very fresh in Kata.
We stayed in the private double for 3 nights and found it pretty comfortable. The room was good, big and clean with strong aircon. The only downfall was that the sliding doors leading to the balcony did not lock. There wasn't much of a hostel atmosphere either as this place is focused on diving programs and we didn't do any diving. The building had an electronic lock as well as a key lock so it was very secure. Location 8 minutes to beach and 5 minutes to market. Overall, good but not great.
