The guestroom (for 3 with private toilet) was spacious and comfortable. It got quite cold away from the heater, but we were otherwise comfortable. It was nice and quiet except when a large group was using the men`s public bath located right next to our room. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The location was far away from the city`s attractions and the commute tiring, but the nearby area had an assortment of restaurants and even a grocery store.

This Ryokan is a perfect place for a 1 to 3 days in Tokyo, especially when it is fine for you to take a short JR line ride to the center.

Really cute little place but a bit of a treck into the city, 3 stops before you can pick up the main JR line at Kamata and then it:s another few stops before you get to the Yamanote line...where most of the sites are off. It is really near to the local station, Chidori, though. Turn left out of the station and it`s literally a few minutes walk, there is a sign just before you hit the first convenience store. The place itself was lovely though,

An excellent location close to rail, restaurants and bottle shops. Beautiful traditional rooms, very nice bath-houses for males and females. Highly recommended.

The hostel itself has a lot of character, but the room was smelly. The women's outdoor bath on the roof was excellent!

We really enjoyed our stay at this Ryokan. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. And the locstion to us was good for walking ,cstching the trains etc. When we return to Japan, we would love to stay here again. Thanks
