I had a wonderful stay at this ryokan and would thoroughly recommend it to all travellers. The lady who runs the place is very warm hearted and attentive, and the rooms are characterful and clean. Excellent wifi too.

This is a very nice traditional Japanese house 5 minutes away from a JR train station (one stop away from Kyoto Station. One minute away was a public spa with a nice restaurant. Highly recommended.

Ryokan Sanki is a delightful little place hidden not so far from downtown Kyoto; however it is very easy to go to places of interest in the city as the 80 bus near the ryokan takes you right in the middle of the action; plus, it is located a few minutes away from Tambaguchi station which is very convenient if you want to visit Arashimaya. The lady who runs the place is very friendly and kind and the ryokan itself is very typical and very well kept. What a great stay! Highly recommendable!
