The location is excellent, its located on Zhongshan Rd, a quite street that has a lot of boutiques and cafes. We\'re most satisfied with the atmosphere of Star Hostel , we met a lot of guys of similar interests such as guitar, Also you totally do not have to worry about the hygienism there! I think its the cleanest hostel I stayed!

I think the hostel people are really nice. They are very friendly and approachable. Really love them! They also helped us when we are unsure about the directions to certain places.

Beds in private room are very comfortable (although the blankets could afford to not have feathers sticking out). Changing of bath towels daily is a nice touch :)

I absolutely L O V E Star Hostel and the people – both staff and guests. I gave Taiwan originally only 2 weeks out of my one year holiday, but I’ve spent on-off now 3 months here – because of the Stars. They help you out with your travel plans. They’ve always gone a great length for my comfort. The hostel is meticulously clean. It’s stylish and designed so that you can interact with other travelers, if you like. I’ve met so many friends here – many of whom come over and over again to Star!

The entire hostel was simple, neat and clean. The air-con worked fine. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. Our stay was great. However, the door to room 502 could be forced open even after locking as the door handle was loose. Having said that, it is unlikely that there will be strangers entering the hostel since a wireless token is required to open the main door. Also, the floor at the shower area was not properly done. Hence, water does not drain well creating a puddle.

This hostel is very clean and the facilities are great. There is no sign to indicate the location, but please look for the cute star wire sculpture to guide you. Breakfast is fruit, toast, coffee, and tea.

Excellent location given its close proximity to the train station and metro, both are within walking distance. The hostel is well renovated and is pretty clean in general. However we found stains on the towels, covers, and bed sheets. The staff is very friendly and answered all our questions regarding traveling within Taipei. The building is 5 stories tall and has no elevator, this could be an issue if your traveling with lots of luggage.

If you're looking for a bed to crash in a clean modern hostel close to the TRA and MRT, this is your place. The rooms are however very small and not what we expected as portrayed on the website. Still a very good stay in Taipei. Be sure to pack in some mozzie repellent!

Good Hostel, good location, clean rooms. Rooms are plain, no decorations whatsoever. Bathroom was clean and looked good. Breakfast is simple: toast and fruit. Only downside is that there can be some noise coming from the common room and from the corridor. I had trouble falling sleep because of that.

Our trip to Taiwan was made extra special by our stay in Star Hostel. Kudos to Chloe, Grant, and Eric, the friendliest staff in the world. We always felt well-taken cared of. The next time we go to Taiwan, Star Hostel will definitely be our hostel of choice!

This hostel was super clean! It was also really conveniently located near the Taipei Main Station. Some people said it was hard to find, but the street numbers are really well marked, so just look for the address as you are walking down the road. There's also free breakfast every morning, and everyone there was really nice. At night, it was not very noisy; easy to sleep.

The internet connection didn't seem very stable because I kept losing my connection. Kudos to the star hostel team for keeping the place so clean.

The towels have been changed during our 3 night stay. also they do not have an elevator and I needed to carry my heavy suitcase to the third floor...barefoot, because one need to take off your shoes in the building.
