I had a great stay! I shared a room with 3 other the whole week, and we had a lot of fun. The staff was really friendly and nice to talk to, and they talked a lot of languages, The only thing I thought about was the lock to my safe in my room. It was really tiny and could easily be opened if you wanted too. It wasn't any problems since the people I lived with seemed very nice, but when you're sharing a room with people you don't know you want to be able to lock your stuff in a bit safer.

I like the decoration and facilities in Star, and it's very clean. There are all Asians here, people don't talk or greet to others much, so give me a little bit cold atmosphere, like a hotel instead of a hostel. They don't provide shampoo, body soap, and towel, so remember to bring yours. The breakfast is simple but quite good, as a cheap accommodation, the value is very high!

The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly and helped plan my itinerary for this trip. The hostel was also very clean although the showers on the 2nd floor weren't very good. The holder for one had broken off so you had to hold the shower head the entire time, and the other one with the holder intact had an odd angle so that the water is aimed towards the wall rather than your body. Might want to get that fixed. No other complaints. Location was excellent.

Check-in into a single room w shared toilet. Love the cleanliness of the hostel especially the toilets are consistently very clean! room was big enough with comfortable bed. However, the sound proofing system of the room could be improved especially if your are encountering noisy neighbor who doesn't sleep at night. the hostel has its very own kitchen for u to prepare ur own food and the service of the friendly staff just aced the staying experience with the hostel!

Modern facilities, helpful staff and well kept. However there is only 2 share showers and the drainage tends to flow too slowly. It's kind of challeging to find its location for the first timer, since is located on the 2nd level and there is no visible signage at street level. Free wifi works excellent. There is ample wash & drying facilities at the open rooftop area. Lots of small eateries nearby in the back lane and a couple of cafes to spend your day.

THE ROOMS ARE VERY CLEAN BUT, WE FOUND ANTS AND FIFTH FLOOR IS HARD TO CLIMB STAIRS. BUT, PRICE IS REASONABLE AND IT'S CONVENIENT TO RIDE THE SUBWAY.

The hostel is located conveniently near the metro station so travelling was a breeze as we went free-and-easy. Also, the hostel staff are very welcoming and takes initiative to help their customers. Overall, the experience to Taipei has been a pleasant one thanks to Star Hostel. The only down side to the hostel would be the steep stairs, especially when you have heavy baggage, (which was the case for my friend and I) but the staff were really nice and bothered to help us carry our stuff down.

Excellent, excellent, excellent! Clean, clean, clean and... clean. They have almost everything you need here. Staff members are friendly and always available to help. Good and healthy breakfast provided. If you don't chose to stay at this hostel, you're really losing out! Modern, clean, bright, spacious, and has all the facilities that you might need! Cons? Can't think of one.
