The reception is not open long each day and this caused me trouble as I arrived after they had closed and my room card did not work so I had to call the security company to help me but I was told I could not leave the room after they opened it for me. Then no bed linens where in the room after I had paid for them. The facilities are good and clean

We where suprised to have to pay 150 SKR, since we hadn't seen it on the homepage where we made the reservation. It made the stay more expensive than expected and it is the reason why we next time will consider staying at a hotel instead (it will be cheaper!!).   Read Owner Comments

Very good price if you are a member of Hostelling International. Everything from kitchen to showers was extremely clean and well maintained. It has a sauna! Front desk is only open about 4 hours a day, so the rest of the time you're on your own. The wireless internet connection could be better.

Very nice stuff and lovely room! Great: Guest kitchen - so you can organize your meals very independent. It's a petty that you have to walk 4 km to the city centre.

the staff was not willing to help. we got a generally bad impression. we wouldn´t recommend this hostel to anybody because of the staff. but the location wasn´t as bad.

The hostel was wonderful, except for the staff, who could be a little friendlier.

Toilet was not working very well on our room and there were no other toilets availible. We had to wait for 3 hours to get in the hostel, there was no one there until 16:00.

If all you want is a bed and kitchen to come home to at night, then STF Vandrarhem Malmo is adequate. But if you're looking for fun and atmosphere, you'd best look elsewhere. The hostel is a fair way out of town, beside a freeway, and seems to cater to families on holiday and youth groups. It has an institutional vibe, like a school/college dorm/boy scout camp from the 1960s. The kitchen is modern, and the breakfast buffet is good value. Not the worst hostel ever, but not that great either.
