About STF/IYHF af Chapman
STF Youth Hostel af Chapman is located in Stockholm's city centre on the island Skeppsholmen.
The af Chapman sailing ship has recently been renovated from keel to mast, and is one of city's most famous landmarks overlooking the Gamla Stan (the Old Town) and the Royal Palace. The Youth Hostel's reception is located in a beautiful yellow 19th century building next to the boat. It is open 24 hours and also houses further accomodation.
Stay in comfortable cabins on the ship - some of which have been restored back to their original style - or in regular rooms in the 19th century building on Skeppsholmen. This location also has an unusual history - the original building used to serve as firewood storage space for the royal castle in the 18th century.
From the hostel you are close to Stockholm's museum, restaurants and entertainment.
A ferry provides you with easy access to the
nearby island Djurgården where the popular Skansen open air museum and the Vasa Museum are located. Other attractions located on Djurgården are the amusement park Gröna Lund, the Aquaria watermuseum and the Nordic museum. You can also visit the wonderful world of Astrid Lindgren at Junibacken. From the hostel it is only a few minutes walk to boats to the Stockholm Archipelago.
Our ecological breakfast buffet is very popular. Bar Chapman serves food, beer, wine and coffees and is open daily.
Our hostel is a meeting place for people from near and far, including global travellers, interrailers and families with children. Many of our guests return to enjoy the pleasant environment and to take advantage of the superb location again.
PLEASE NOTE: af Chapman/Skeppsholmen Youth Hostel is a IYHF-hostel. All prices are for IYHF-members.
Adult non members will be charged an additional fee of 50 SEK /night and children 25 SEK/night on arrival.
All rooms have bunkbeds.
Bedlinen and breakfast is NOT included.
Children born 1994 or later will get a discount on arrival.
We accept most credit cards. We have a 24hour reception, so it`s no problem with late check in as long as we have a credit card number as a guarantee. You can come anytime in the morning to leave your luggage but you will get your Room/Bed at 3 p.m. Check out time is 11 a.m.
