SUM Guest House has a good location for a stay over between the airport and to leave to other parts of Jeju. The hostel seems very korean and has the basic stuff. There is a nice area to sit but no atmosphere. The staff didn't speak much english but we managed. We stayed in the 8-bedroom girls only room on 2F: the Hostel hosted an event and our room was just above. Everything that happened outside on the street (loud voices and smoke) happened in our room as well. We couldnt sleep before 2AM.

Water pressure is low on L3 shower & the hot water availabilty on L3 shower is also intermittent. Butter instead of peanut butter would be nicer for breakfast. Spotty wifi in the room. Very near the Jeju city bus terminal which can get you to anywhere on the island, and its just 10min from airport. Abit far from the city center but can be reach by walking.

The overall stay was okay. The bed are comfortable and the location is near the Jeju Bus Terminal, 10 min ride to the airport. However the1st day at Sum hostel was disoriented, there was no clear instruction on the passcode to our room. The shower at level two seems to be inconsistent. One moment there is warm water, the next moment it is cold water. During the cold water, I have to wait till the warm water come back.. There are mosquito in the room, there is a need bring insect repellent.

Very clean and modern hostel that is easy to find. Great location to head to other places on Jeju. Rooms are not that big but you've got huge powder rooms and clean bathrooms. Spacious common room with kitchen. The only minus is having to leave the hostel during the day.

Only problem I had were the showers, heat would come and go and barely any pressure. Besides that, the hostel is super close to the airport and the bus terminal, making the entire island of Jeju super accessible. Very nice staff, breakfast was great, the rooms were fine and air conditioned, highly recommended to stay here if you want a good trip while staying in Jeju.

I travelled alone (but not really alone as we're all connected ;) ) and felt so safe, welcomed, comfortable! Excellent location near the bus terminal and I loved flipping through your many fashion/culture magazines! Great coffee and eggs every morning. I'd recommend SUM hostel to anyone! Also very helpful staff who offered sight seeing tips and spoke fluent English. Thank you, Mary x

I stayed in the female dorm, everything was great, the room was clean, the aircon worked great and the kitchen and laundry facilities were excellent. Just 3 things were not great. 1st was that in the bathroom there was almost nowhere to put your things that would stay dry, so a few more hooks or bars in the bathroom to put your clothes would be welcome. 2nd were the private Korean parties that were held in the downstairs common area. 3rd was the location, far from downtown, restaurants/bars, etc
