Staff are really extremely helpful and nice. Free good breakfast. Lockers available at the rooms, a few hooks available too. Downside is the lack of AC on the dorms so it could get really hot on some days. Also only 2 plugs in the room for 4 people w/c may not be enough. Kitchen has good facilities and dining area very spacious. Terrace on the top floor is also a nice place to chill out.

Thank you for your review! Remember that we offer dorms with A/C for an extra of 20$. You can ask for "electric shoes" at reception if there is not enough plugs in your dorm.

It was so good we came back for a second stay! The first time we stayed was over a weekend, we ate at the hostels organised BBQ with a good bunch of guys- it was one of the best BBQs we had in Argentina, there was also plenty of wine flowing that was included. The hostel owner is friendly and stayed drinking and chatting with us all night. Breakfast is good and is served till late. Dorms can get a little stuffy on really hot days as there's no AC apart from that I'd recommend to anyone.

Guys: thank you for your review! Im sorry for the temperature inside some dorms. This summer in B.A is coming terribly hot. However, we offer two 5 people mixed dorms with A/c, just for an extra 20$.

We checked in to the hostel and were informed the room was damp due to a water leak. We attempted to stay in the room but it was really bad. The hostel staff were great, and moved us up the road to a private room. Very understanding of the situation. Location great and the breakfast was awesome!!

Guys: Thank you for your review and patient. This week we were able to talk with the neighbours and ended the leak. Room should be fixed in short!

Great hostel. Good atmosphere in living area but sleeping area cleverly separated for a good nights sleep. Incredibly helpful staff. Plenty of clean showers and toilets - never waiting for a free bathroom. Great breakfast and a lovely breakfast lady. Centrally located in BA and near Santelmo but about 40 minutes on the metro to Palermo for a good night out (approximately 130 pesos in a taxi).

Sabatico was such an amazing hostel! The staff is wonderful, the breakfast is delicious, and the terrace is such a great spot to just hang out or meet other passengers. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and the reception is nice also. Definitely would recommend sabatico!

Bigger lockers needed for full backpacks.

Owner Comment (Hide)
dear guest: we have big drawers underneath dorm beds wich are, I think, big enough for a big backpack (1mx 80cm x20cm), and you can lock them. there are also big lockers at reception where you can leave your most valuable things under 24hs surveillance. If this is not enough you can leave your extra luggage for free at the luggage deposit at reception. thanks for your comments!

For the price and location not a half bad place to stay. Not really a party hostel and had no AC at night so it was hot. They always had cold drinks 24/7 for a good price which was nice. The power went out for a day and wifi wasn't that great. Staff is all pretty good. There's better but this place wasn't too bad. Overall pretty clean and the breakfast wasn't to bad.

We have two 5 people mixed dorms with AC. They are just 20$ more, but its a good option for summer in ba. All dorms have fans. The power issue is an overall problem in argentina. we try to manage it the best way we can. we have emergency lights. i think breackfast is better than not too bad. thanks for your comments

It was convenient to exchange money at the hostel at a pretty good rate. Location was okay- 10 minutes from the metro station. Rooms were hot but fan didn't rotate. No A/C in the rooms but in the common area. Out of three days spent here, wifi wasn't working for the first two days. Hostel is old but kept relatively clean. Staff were helpful too!

I am sorry for the wi fi problem! it took almost two days in fixing the problem...Couldnt get the tecnitian on such a special dates. didnt they offer you to pay for your tickets in the nearby internet cafe? thats what we usually do...we put a/c in two 5 people mixed dorm. Its a great option for summer in ba.thanks for your comments.

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Sabatico. As with any hostel, its the people you meet that make the place seem less foreign and more homey. My favorite feature of Sabatico was the roof-top terrace. Every late afternoon was spent enjoying the cool breeze from here. However, I wasn't crazy about the common space where the kitchen and reading/socializing area meld. Not sure what advice I can give. I did like the hanging airplane!

Decent hostel. Pros: Central location (10 mins walk to city centre), safe, generally friendly staff. Cons: Facilities can feel a bit rustic - some people may like that, but I felt like this could be a bit better. Also, all staff doesn't speak English - again, I understand that but other hostels in the area are slightly more professional with their staffing.

Thanks for your commets. As for previous conversation, we are trying to keep facilities working in excelent conditions. I ve just hired a new mantainance guy to take care of this little details. Regarding our staff, its all bilingual, and trilingual in some cases. Maybe the guy in the night s shift english could be better, but I dont think its a problem if you are willing to speak a little slowlier.

The staff and other guests made this a great hostel. The location is a bit out of the way, but you can still walk or take the subway/buses to visit all of the sites. The staff were very helpful with information about getting around the city and things to do. They were also friendly and invited us to a night out while I was there as well which was very fun. The breakfast was great and included eggs and a different homemade treat everyday. The rooftop deck was great!

I stayed in a private room and it was fine. Comfortable and convenient. The breakfast is great - eggs are provided and you cook them how you like. Nice rooftop and communal area. Location is ok, about 10 min from a subte station.

Great hostel in a really good area of town! has a bunch of different shops and bars in the area. The breakfast was delicious and the atmosphere was really good as well. Not a party hostel as such but definitely a good vibe, everyone is really welcoming. They have different activities each day of the week which really helps if you're a solo traveler and looking to meet some people. Staff are really nice and go out of their way to help you. Highly recommended!
