Great place to stay close to the beach and shopping strip. Staff are happy to answer any questions. Wifi is in the main section of the hostel so try and get a room there! They also have laundry facilities available which is very helpful! Overall I'd recommend Sachal Mir's as a great hostel option in Negombo!! :)

In sachal's you fell like being Home, always friendly and good advices. Going to stay there again, before i have to fly back. Lovely dinner in the garden with all guest!

We had booked one night at this place with arrival time at 23.00 but our plane got delayed so instead we arrived 00.30. The hostel was by that time locked and no one opened the gate, nor answered the phone when we tried to call so we had to stay at another hotel. The next day we went to Sachal Mir's and complained and after some discussions the owner paid us the difference between the two hotels. Look out for late arrival, the 24-hour reception is only there if you know that you are late :)

Amazingly relaxed and friendly staff, really great atmosphere, one of the best places I stayed at in Sri Lanka, very highly recommended.

my second home is there! great staff, great food, good location! for the tuktuk-driver its a bit tricky to find from the airport but can be solved with a phone call. if they know that you will arrive late everything will be arranged. it was sad to leave. and the dorm has no bunk beds, yeah! i miss you guys

Very nice staff, and nice atmosphere, and the breakfast is tasty. The location is close to the beach, although a little bit hard for the night taxi driver from the airport. Recommended.

Made me feel like I had a second home in Sri Lanka along with a second family. Allowed me to leave the bulk of my luggage there while I traveled around. Nice breakfast of eggs toast and fresh fruit. Very accommodating. Staff is super knowledgeable and super helpful. I was actually a bit melancholy to leave. Good location in Negombo.
