We had a very great time in this hostel ! We highly recommend travellers to go there ! We met awesome people, slept well and had an excellent dinner (a barbecue was organized the saturday night). Only 10minutes walking from the historical center :) Thanks !

The hostel was really nice, close to everything (the Ferry, the supermarket, etc.) All the rooms were clean, the kitchen was well equiped and the outdoor area was lovely. The owner spoke good English and he was really helpful with every query we had. We had a very nice time in Colonia thanks to you: the asado was delicious! P.S. Merci encore pour les livres ;)

This hostel was very average; not bad but nothing special. The staff did not speak English, which could be a problem for some.

A really lovely little hostel - prime location for bus stop and ferry terminal. Helpful staff and a lovely courtyard to chill in and have a drink. Rooms were clean as were the bathrooms. Really nice little hostel.

This is a nice quiet hostel that is absolutely fine to stay in. Is very near the port and bus station so is handy for this as well as being close to the old town.

Good location, nice and close to ferry terminal, main street, and 10min easy walk into old town. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. A property like this could be a great hostel with tons of charm but it just misses the mark a bit. Not a bad hostel at all but not a great one.

good hostel, close to ferry and old colonia, but not enough privacy bathroom.

Only complaint was that the room I stayed in was located right next to where the outdoor hang out area was so it was loud when trying to sleep. If you are interested in cooking the kitchen is relatively equipped and clean. Hostel is located very close to the bus station and ferry.

bring your own bomilla for mate - the stereotype is true Uruguayans drink ALOT of mate so be warned. Great place to stay but the long term residents are a little crouchy when you don´t share.

Best hostel I have stayed in in South America by a mile. It's clean ( you don't think you will catch something by leaning against the wall!), superb location, the interior has some nice design touches and the whole place has a great atmosphere. It's so nice in fact that it's the sort of house you would actually want to live in. The standard by which all hostels should be measured! The town itself is small, but very, very beautiful, almost like a Provençal village in the South of France.

Great staff, nice hostel. The bedrooms nearest the street can be loud at night, but that is my only complaint. A large portion of the guests are travelers passing through for 1 or 2 nights. As a result, there is not a huge party culture. The bathrooms were always clean and large enough to accomodate all the travelers. I would definitely stay here again!

Lovely big dorms, airy with lots of room and lockers for secure items. Clean modern bathrooms, hot showers, good location near the bus stop and a short walk to the old town. Nice stay, Good value for money. Breakfast could be improved to include yoghurt or fruit.

Colonia is so small that all hostels are in a good location. Rooms had charm and the dorm we were in for 6 people even had air con, which is much appreciated in the humidity of summer. Bathrooms were all clean and water was hot. Breakfast was good too. Recommended.

Nice place. Near the bus station and tourist area (as are most places in Colonia!). Very relaxed place- loved the hammock in the garden. We'd stay here again.
