Too many unbehaved teenagers in school excursion, screaming late at night on the corridors and slamming doors.
The hostel has a great bar and the rooms are big and clean. I only missed two things: a microwave that we could use and wifi in the rooms. It's awful having to go downstairs just to see your email.
If you are looking for a nice place to stay, this hostel is the place. Beds have curtain that divides from other people and their own lamp so one can read until late. The place is huge and beautiful decorated. Looks more like a hotel, honestly. The only bad thing I found here is that it's often crowded with children in school trips. And kids are usually loud and dirty and don't follow hostel's tacit (and some not that tacit) rules. So, good place to stay unless you can't stand those things.
The room was nice and big. We got a double bed for the first time on our trip!! Woo! Breakfast is a great inclusion. Shower was a little cold in the morning, but really hot at night. Was a bit noisy on the floor with some guests being a little loud, but has to be expected. Directions to get to the hostel could be a little better, as the bus info on the site is from the underground (it seemed like it was from the airport). 5 min walk from Elephant & Castle underground, great.
The beds were extremely comfortable and I really liked the added privacy of the curtains around the beds. The light on the wall next to my bed did not work hardly at all though. It would turn on then off and only flicker after that. The staff was nice and the breakfast was great! Seemed very clean. Only about a 10 minute walk to the tube, and only a couple stops away from central London.
Well, this cannot be regarded as a hostel. I would rather say, it resembles a budget hotel more. It is a very clean and bright hostel, also very safe. However, it lacks even the most basic facilities of a hostel: no kitchen, no microwave for use, and even no drinking water during night time (actually after breakfast section)! I tried to ask for some hot water for my cup noodles, but they charge me for 30 pences, To me, it is somehow ridiculous. Little communication between ppl living there

Stayed there for 3 nights and can't complain. Bus stop across the road and tube 10min away. Individual showers, luggage cages under beds, lifts... I would definitily stay there again. It's actually better then many hotels I've stayed before.
The only bad thing was that there were no plugs in the bathroom to use the rented hairdryer and it wouldnt fit in the plugs in the corridors, and de couldnt use it in the bathroom because there were people sleeping. Other than that, very good hostel!!! It seems like a hotel.
Good hostel, are is a little bit out very clean though good wifi :)
Great atmosphere. Fairly convenient to Elephant & Castle Tube station. Really liked the curtains around the bedside giving privacy. Had a small padlock which could not fit for storage locker under the bed, and the large padlocks were unavailable at reception.
Wifi just on the common area, paid internet on computers, noisy (really noisy! The doors slam very much!), poor breakfast. We had to change room, and nobody explained why or tried to do anything to change the situation. The location seems to be good, but actually it isn't. If you are an alone girl, probably wont like to come back late by subway. They should clean bathrooms more often.
overall, this was a great place to stay. guests were considerate of one another and their privacy. the rooms were clean and the lounges were very nice. there were some cleanliness issues overnight, but those were usually dealt with by the very good staff. i would definitely stay here again.
The location and facilities are excellent, though it shocked us how uncomfortable staff made us feel there. I stayed with my sister there, and we were constantly being kicked out of areas for being "too late". There's a wonderful patio in the common area, that closes around 11pm, like the bar. By midnight they'll be kicking you out of the common area, and by 1am from the lobby and the front of the hostel. It made us feel a bit unwelcome. Despite that, the room and hostel in general was perfect.
Great location - very close to the center of London, with great accessibility via Underground and Bus. The best hostel I've seen in terms of cleanliness, spaciousness, and decor. Value for money!

It's in a 'gritty' area, but I kind of liked that. Very well connected by nearby buses and tube. Excellent beds each with curtain, locker & plug. Ridiculously clean - rooms were swept/mopped daily whilst the washrooms were done twice daily! Its a big hostel which caters to groups which doesn't lend itself to backpacker-style atmosphere, despite having a lovely common area / bar.
Nice place. Could do with a kitchen, but otherwise all good.
Great place to stay, close to metro. Not much atmosphere though as its just to big!
The Hostel was okay for the Price! Not really a Hostel and the Rooms don´t have nothing except a Bed, but the Price and the Location was great!
Very convenient to travel around London from that location and the facility is quite new and very clean. Will go back to this place if I visit London again.
