A nice hostel, not so far from the middle of town, but in a pretty bad neighberhood. Clean and comfurtable dorms, but the crew was extremley unpleasent, nor nice or helpful. Does the job, but you could probably get a better deal in a better location with nicer staff.

I think Safestay is an ideal place for the visitors to stay in London. It give us a comfortable and quiet environment to recover energy after a long distance walk and a whole day visit in London. So, I strongly recommend visitors to choose Safestay as your temporary housing and maybe I will come back to Safestay for a visit in London again. At last, thanks all the staff in Safestay for your services.

I would definitely recommend the hostel. It is brand new, it has all the facilities needed and a great common room. The bedrooms were reasonably spacious, both ensuite/shared bathrooms were spacious and clean. Some things to be improved though is the breakfast (which is very poor), the lockers in the rooms are literally iron cages (therefore all our stuff left in our luggage) and the bathrooms were uncomfortable (there was no curtain and nothing on the floor to hold the water in).

I have enjoyed Safestay at Elephant and Castle very much. It is one of the best hostels in London and it is value for the price. It is clean, beautiful and it is close to the best attractions in London. I also need to comment about the breakfast, I liked it very much, it is delicious and the restaurant is very big. If your are thinking to come to London, stay at Safestay at Elephant and Castle, it is worth.

The staff were not helpful and were rude. The wifi did not work in the lounge, where it was supposed to, and you can't get wifi anywhere else. They charge large amounts for products that should be inexpensive. Not clean, only one shower/bathroom per hall. The hostel appeared modern, but it was just a facade because there was nothing modern about the hostel. Not a safe location either.

Originally my friend and I booked a private 3 bedroom but was told on arrival that it had been changed to a 4 bedroom private dorm.No problems there, the manageress gave us a discount and even cheaper rate for the 4 room dorm.Location is good-right outside the hostel are a few bus stops that lead to Waterloo Station etc.And the Elephant and Castle Underground Station is only 5 minutes walk away from the hostel.Only negative-the room to leave suitcases doesn't have a lock on it!

No wireless in rooms. Elevator is not working. Luggage cages in shared rooms do not have a padlock - you have to BUY one. Breakfast is a bit weak.

Safe Stay is the place to go if you want to find a good hostel in London. I loved just about everything about it. It's clean, staff was very friendly. The only negative thing I'd heard about the hostel was that it was in a rough area but from my 3 night stay I never felt unsafe. I liked that there was plenty of room under the beds to securely store your stuff. The only problem was the cards to get in the rooms often didn't work so we had to get them fixed. Otherwise, SS is well worth the money.

Amazing hostel, literally looks like a hotel! I always stay here when I am in London! Staff are so friendly, rooms are always immaculate. It is on the outskirts of the city but the tube is so close so it is easy to get into the city fast. Favourite hostel!

Nice hostel, seems very new. Doors seem to get a bit stuck which led to our room door not being closed securely twice, but they seemed to be fixing this while we were there. Most of the staff were good, unfortunately the first staff member we met (and one we dealt with a couple of times) was a very sour faced woman who didn't seem like she wanted to be there. It's not that hard to smile!

Very nice hostel. It seems far from the tube station Elephant&Castle but it is actually next to it. Brand new facilities and nice staff. One bad thing though, the reception area is forbidden; so when the lounge closes ( at 23:30 on Sundays for example), you have only one place to go : your bed. It's a pity since the reception area is really beautiful and I still wonder why the access remains forbidden.

Central located, 15 min walk to London Bridge and 20 min walk to Westminster, 5 min walk to the Tube (Elephant and Castle), very clean and practical. Breakfast was good. Just all you need to stay in London for few days. I'll definitely come back!

I was Good Surprised to see the hostel was exactly same as seen and read about on the internet and was very happy for the facilities that were available for that price! I would rate everything a 10 out of 10 including friendly staff, cleanliness, safety, freshness, breakfast, kitchen, atmosphere and that lounge and bar area. Although I couldn't take shower one day as the boiler broke down which got fixed the same day and the food I ordered was cold from inside which was reheated immediately :)

Housed in a beautiful Georgian building of great character, easy to find and only 7 mins walk from Elephant & Castle Tube, this was a great hostel. Very friendly staff. I slept in a 6-bed ensuite, which was very comfortable. I liked the privacy curtains round the bed. The room was clean and freshly decorated and had 2 windows. Breakfast was cereals or croissants & very nice coffee. Good atmosphere, friendly, bright and clean. Free lockers under the bed, bring your own padlock or pay £3.50 for 1.

This hostel is very much like a hotel. The breakfast is only served till 9am which is too early, and the orange nice sucks! My bathroom in the room was clean at the start, but appeared to have not been cleaned for a while surfing my stay. Very little atmosphere, and the wifi was OK. Close to downtown (Oxford circus) by tube, maybe 10min including walking. Easy to get to, staff at front unhelpful. It's ok for a night, but if you want to meet people, this is not your place.

Really beautiful place, nice rooms and beds and blankets and clean bathrooms. During my stay the shower drain was really clogged and so showering was entertaining as the water ran out of the designated shower area. The staff was decent they were either really cool people who were helpful or kind of lame people who just seemed annoyed with the questions. Breakfast was yummy for a hostel. Poor environment though
