Great hostel! Staff were fluent in English and always available to help with any request. Twin en-suite room very spacious and clean. Location is good, however a little far from the subway. Dumpling party is a must... Great way to meet and mingle with other foreigners. Tours provided by the hostel to the main attractions are also very well organized and reasonably priced. Overall good stay!

Anand was very helpful in putting a last minute tour together. He arrange a fantastic driver/guide and we had a great time visiting Erdene Zuu Monastery and staying with a nomad family on the steppe.

The staff at Saga Hostel are super friendly. Cherry is amazing and so helpful with anything you need help with. It was a clean environment and a nice stay. I really enjoyed the dumpling party that they have on Saturdays- they teach you how to make dumplings and then you get to eat them! Bonus :) Thanks to the Saga Hostel staff!!

A nice location, which has everything whaz you need:a nice bar with fresh draft beer, happy hour every day and a nice garden on the roof. For a hutong place a fair price

Great staff, nice bar and you can buy water for just 2 yuan, which is nice.

Breakfast was not included and the restaurant foods were relatively expensive. Breakfast + coffee was 8USD. Double room I stayed had airconditioner and TV which had only Chinese channels. I would definately stay here again.

The hostel offers several tours. The three of us went to the Mutianyu Great Wall, the Kungfu Show, and the Peking Opera. The Great Wall is a bit difficult to get to on your own, so having transportation there and back was really helpful. The Kung Fu show was really touristy (i.e., almost no Chinese people), but still entertaining nonetheless. The Peking Opera was also good, but look out for rude audience members - some people were talking incessantly throughout the entire performance.

I stayed in Saga for three days while visiting Beijing. The hostel is located at the end of an alleyway which confused most taxi drivers, but aside from that it was a decent place to stay. The internet worked fine, it was quite clean, and the bed was comfortable.

Very nice hostel and staff in the Hutong! The balcony at 3rd floor is great to chill after a long day

While the girls working at the bar are rather cute, the atmosphere created was not as welcoming. The music was on a loop one night and there were no games available. To top it off the internet connection was terrible and had to be restarted continuously. Our Double bedroom was smaller than Harry Potter's too and the walls were very thin. Also, upon departing we found a big lizard on our luggages. Although the location was convenient, I wouldn't return unless they improved.

A great hostel. I actually went back and stayed here a second time. The staff is super friendly, the rooftop garden is nice. I actually got upgraded from a 6 bed dorm to a 2 bed for my 3 night stay the second time so that was super nice. And the chocolate cake is very good.

A really nice hostel - the staff were friendly and helpful and they can help you book a huge range of things to do (Great Wall trips, city tours, Peking Opera etc). Good location and the room was really clean and modern. Bar downstairs did pretty good food. Less than a 5 minute walk from the metro. A good choice of hostel for Beijing

Excellent hostel; good value for money. Extremely helpful staff and the bar is good fun! Location is solid, only criticism would be the relatively expensive laundry service or the wifi. Otherwise, absolutely great stay. Would recommend.

+: Double room with shared bathroom is better an spacier than most in China, a (very hard) bed, a couch and a desk: a lot of room! +: Staff is very friendly and helps with almost everything: train tickets, subway system, tours etc. +: Very nice tour to the great wall with nice lunch -: WiFi was almost never working -: bathrooms could use some additional cleaning now and then (especially toilets)
