It does'nt really feel like a hostel because it's so big and alot of hotel rooms, but the recpetion is cozy and the food's nice. Wifi almost never works. Some people in the staff can talk OK english. They arrange tours, but it's so much cheaper and easy to go to the destinations by yourself. Really good value for money, but because it's more of an hotel-feeling it wasn't ideal for us. We missed a kitchen.

Hostel located in the hutong area, so well located and not far from the subway station, and tianamen. The staff was friendly and helpfull. The food was tasty, and the breakfast was wonderful, and cheap. :) I will definitely go back there if i visit Beijing again.

The hostel is fairly typical for Beijing, however there was no luggage storage in dormitory I stayed in (although they did have cupboards with no locks) so I had to leave my valuables at the reception every day I went out.

When we entered our room and bathroom it had a nasty smell. The bedlinen was clean. The bathroom was not up to standard. The shower outlet was disgusting. There is mould around the silicon/grout around the wash basin. The toilet was not even flushed. The walls of the room was dirty....do not know if it was mosquitoes that was killed or blood stains. I really do not expect luxury for the price we paid but everything must at least be clean. We did not even use the shower during the 3 day stay.
