Sagar Guest House Reviews

The owners of this hostel are a father and son who are very kind and accommodating- they will even come to the train station to pick you up. Unfortunately, there were lots of small problems: the air conditioner only blew slightly cool air, the hot water didnt work, and the tv didnt work. We also had to pay for toilet paper and were told last minute that we owed more money for staying later into the day- I would have not minded the costs if I had been told of them up front instead of last min.

The rooms are spacious and clean. They offer basic comfort and the sanitary installations are working properly. The location within Varanasi can be recommended. It is a 15 min walk to the main ghats. Although close to the main Luxo Road the guest house is very quiet. It is easily accessible by motor vehicles (less than 100 m walking distance). The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful.

We stayed in the guest house for 3 days but straight away felt at home. The stuff was up front and taught as a lot about the India culture. The food was GREAT and very reasonably priced :)Sagar and his father are very nice and they like share their cultur

This lovely family guest has a nice homy atmosphere to it. It is pretty good value for money, and has nice big clean rooms. It is about 15-20 mins walk from the main ghats and is quietly located from the main road. Staff are friendly and willing to help out with anything. We enjoyed our stay there.

It's a very nice place, It may look a bit difficult to find, but you just have to follow the signs. The family that owns it is really nice. Food is AWESOME!! Rooms are indian-clean if you know what I mean :) some cleaner than others (clean for Indian standards). In general GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY.

Lovely place to stay. Nice and clean and the family that run the place are extremely helpful. About 10mins walk from Main Ghat so a good location but nice and quiet as it's tucked out of the way.

Nice guest house, quite close to the ghat,clean. A little bit too much pressure from the staff for sightseeing etc.
