very helpful and friendly staff , once you know them. Staff in the kitchen are really kind, too. breakfast is filing- baguette with eggs or cheese with cucumber and tomato slices. choose instant noodles if you like. Coffee and tea (milkless) free all day.

A friendly and clean hostel. Free breakfast is a great way to meet people every morning. Lockers for all your stuff. I had heard lots of stories about purse snatching in the streets outside so only ever took small quantities of cash in a purse in a pocket and all was well. Make use of the airport pick up if you arrive by plane. The family who run the place are really lovely and the longer you stay the more you will discover that.

Poor breakfast and sometimes unavailable after 9.00 despite breakfast not stopping until 10. Bathrooms smell pretty bad. Tv and pool table are good and the only way to meet people.

I enjoyed my stay at this hostel. It is a bit hard to find at first, but once you do, you realise that it is in a very good area of Sai Gon! The staff are very helpful and answered all questions that I had. The beds, ah the beds are super comfy. The room had individual lights and power points for each allocated bed. The shower was amazing, nice pressure and hot water! What more could a traveller ask for? Oh, and free breakfast.

I really enjoyed my stay at Saigon Backpackers Hostel. The location is a strong point because its close to the main roads but located away enough so that the noise isn't a problem. The only issue was finding the place when we arrived because it is located down an alley way. Besides that i cannot think of any problems that occurred or any real negatives aspects about this hostel. I would recommend this hostel to others.

Really cute hostel. Wifi isn't the greatest but there's two computers you can use that are good. Also, breakfast is pretty good! Met a lot of cool people in this hostel. The lobby is like a common area with a TV and a big couch so a lot of people hang out down there!

The hostel is in a good location with big comfortable beds, lockers that fit whole backpack. The staff weren't overly friendly and the atmosphere was just ok. Have stayed in better hostels.

Unfriendly staff and the place has not got the backpackers atmosphere found in Hanoi or Nha Trang backpackers hostels. The rooms are clean and nice but one of our lockers was broken. Generally disappointed: no way to really meet people with everyone just Sitting watching tv or on their laptops.

The hostel itself is clean, well set up and in a perfect location. Staff were not the greatest, one in particular had quite a bad attitude. We had to move dorms our second night for another group and the beds weren't changed at 3pm despite being told 12pm. I couldn't find my flip flops (you take them off outside) which I had hid farthest from the door and discovered another staff member had taken them though her's were at the door and nothing like mine. Wouldn't stay again due to some staff.

Brilliant and friendly staff, need a wider variety at breakfast time, and didn't always get what we asked for at breakfast, good location overall, but the alley way the hostel was down, was questionable and had scary atmosphere.

One of the worst experiences. The only redeeming quality was that the staff were willing to help you. I found bugs in my bed and the whole place was a mess. The bathroom was falling apart. Left early cause we couldn't stay another night.

Nice place, like it especially in the morning time. It's close to traditional market and not far from the night activities place. The staffs were nice, as long as they don't force us to leave the passport :) Free wifi, free water, nice bed. I like it.

located in a back street of the famous van ngu lao street where you find a bunch of other small hostels. the room is tiny but well arranged.the staff helped us get a taxi to take us to the club apoclypse now,and they offer airport transfer at a reasonable price.

I came here on a recommendation; although there is no bar there is a pool table and sofas with a tv. both nights this was very sociable and i met people to go out with. good free breakfast, eggs and bread....security good lockers, nice bathrooms (with hot water) location excellent a v.short walk from the main strip. i'd recommend this hostel to a friend. they booked a trip to the tunnels for me and airport transfers.
