2 computers in the lounge lost internet connection for few days. Maybe just occasionally. I was staying here last year and it was soooo much better.. Seems the owner does not really care about the hostel as I saw most of the facilities are getting obsolete and not taken a good care. Please keep it clean, keep good maintenance of the facilities and keep the quality like before, as I will definitely come back there again due to your location. Some of the staff tried to rip me off for the airp
quite ok you can find better places in the same street. furthermore, do not book a tour with them as they rip you off
Great hostel, clean and staff were very helpful, they would do anything to help you out, nothing was too much hastle. Great location, would definately stay again.
You can See that a lot of Heart and thoughts were put into that hostel, beds Are comfortable, the rooms Look nice and the bathroom Used to be really good. But it seems like for years Nobody was cleaning and taking Care of it, a lot of things were broken in our dorm, the cleaning staff only change sheets and splash some water on the bathroom Floor
We'd previously stayed at this hostel for three nights before heading to Mekong Delta. We decided to come and stay another night before heading to mid vietnam. Pleasant stay, good room, hot shower and helpful staff.
We stayed in a private room which was a good size, with A/C and hot shower. The location was fab in the centre of district one - just be warned there are two Saigon Backpackers (only 2 minutes away from eachother). Organised our tours and we came back to stay one more night. Staff really helpful too
Really nice hostel to stay. Clean, good atmosphere and the staff is really kind. They want to help you with everything.
Average hostel. Nothing bad to say about it. Dorms are spacious with comfy beds and lockers. Everything's clean. Choice for breakfast which is included. In the backpacker area. Has a pool table and sofas for a sociable area but doesn't feel sociable. Staff were really nice especially they guy with the black rimmed glasses. Not a bad place but would have preferred somewhere with more atmosphere.
It's decent, just not excellent. You'll probably find something to complain about, like no hot water (not that it was needed), squeaky bunk beds (hope your bunk mate doesn't move around too much), old AC (as long as it works...), dirty pillows (be sure to get a pillow case) etc but you could do much worse. Breakfast is good. The hostel takes their fair share of anything that you book through them (taxis, tours...), but you want to save a couple of dollars use the tour agencies outside.
decent bed for a cheap price. outlets at your bed. location is as good as any other in this area. no soap here, but shower water is warm enough with decent pressure. no problems here; i overheard others complain, so perhaps there is some disorganization with the operation, but the staff was great and handled everything well.
This hostel is not what is shown in the pictures! Really dirty and thrown together communal area in a very smelly and dirty part of the city. Hard to find. For whatever reason there are 2 hostels in this area called saigon backpackers, on opposite sides of the same block. We went to the wrong one first. Both are down sketchy alleys. Was really strange. Beds were nice and big, showers were decent.
Internet pictures should be updated or the facilities refurbished - Big difference - used up!
A friend traveling with me left her shoes at the hostel, with the workers promising to hold them and give them to another friend coming to the city. When that friend arrived, she was told there were no shoes and left empty handed. My friend's attempts to figure out what happened were met with insults about her looks, intellect, and an anti-Western statement. Perhaps there was cultural confusion in the exchange, but the responses were completely out of line. Will be steering friends away.
Relaxed vibe, definitely not a party hostel. You will get a quiet nights sleep here. The breakfast is incredibly basic (bread and butter/jam).
staff were really nice. try to take a room oon a lower floor. alll dors were locked in the late evening but we had no problem whatsoever entering the hostel late at night. Hue was very helpful. would reccomend.

Mixed dorm is nice and definitely worth the money you pay! It's right in the middle of everything so there is enough to see in the area. Very close to the backpackers party zone but because it's in an alley there is no noise at night ;-) would definitely stay here again.
The atmosphere in this hostel is amazing, staff is very welcoming and fun to be around. There are actually two hostels with the same name (even the staff doesn't know the reason why it has same name), but they are quite comparable and close to each other. Also it has awesome rooftop seating where you can meet people or just watch some movie.
Really good hostel. Helpful friendly staff and good location. Also nice to have a tv to chill out and watch movies but there could be a better communal area to hangout in the evening, although there are plenty of bars nearby so doesn't matter too much.
It was a really awesome experience to stay here. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The facilities are also extremely up to date and worth every single penny. I would definitely recommend this place to every single traveller to Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City.
