We would love to provide feedback for Saigon Backpackers hostel but unfortunately after making a booking 6 months earlier we arrived New Years Eve to be informed we would not be staying there. We had been double booked, despite receiving a confirmation email the day before that our room was ready with no issues. Without askin us we were booked into "sister" hotel Venus Hostel which was by far inferieror accommodation to what we had booked at Saigon and yet we were expected to pay the same rates

Good for cleanliness and location. Not so great for internet connection which was poor. Be prepared to do a big flight of stairs. Staff really should offer to help guests up the stairs.

dorms are large with great wide beds and good showers. nice although small common area. location is perfect. only drawback during my stay was that i booked a mekong delta trip through the hostel and the staff messed up the bookings and failed to confirm with the travel agency that the tour takes place; only turned out the trip didn't take place when we were ready to leave at 7am, too late to book with a different operator for the same days. other than that staff were friendly and helpful.

We only stopped over for the night, arriving late and leaving early. A mix up with our booking where they hadn't taken note of it meant we weren't in the kind of dorm we booked but it was clean and comfortable. We didn't have time for breakfast in the morning so unsure what that was like. Seemed like a good atmosphere when we arrived with people milling around the tv/pool table area.

Amazing hostel, could have been a hotel! No lockers for bags in dorm unless you have your own padlock though and the bar drinks a food though delicious are very expensive! Otherwise such a good place to stay!!

The place is clean but dificult to find at first since it was located in an alley. Good value for money, the facilities are new and very modern.

Okay for what you pay for. Room wasn't cleaned and new towels weren't given during my stay.
