Saint James Backpackers is a family-run hostel that's been accommodating global travelers in central London for over 45 years. We've just undergone a major refurbishment and now operate a range of rooms, including premium private ensuite rooms as well as dormitory rooms with bunk beds.

Overall, I thought that the hostel was pretty good - the beds were clean and the bathrooms were cleaned overnight. However, the staff member was standoffish to our attempts at conversation, which was off-putting. Another thing - our group got there at 11:06, and our check-in time was 11. We got charged a late fee because we were 6 minutes late. I understand that we were technically there late, but a fee for being six minutes late seems kind of ridiculous.
