Kind of felt more like a hotel than a hostel. Would recommend for couples wanting a bit of privacy or the older traveller. Unlike so many, it's not in Asakusa, which makes it more convenient for the JR line.

Spotlessly clean, which was impressive given the amount of showers available in the hostel. Very helpful staff - was offered the opportunity to change from a mixed dorm to a female one. Perhaps not the most charismatic of places to stay, and the lack of lockers is a sore point, but for the location and price, you could do far worse in Tokyo.

i had a pleasant stay in Sakura Hostel. Despite the size of the room, I was satisfied because of the location, the staff, and the facilities, especially the internet provided in my room. I will definitely choose Sakura Hostel again next time.

Love this place!! Stayed here a few times since the location is so perfect. Close to Shinjuku/Shibuya but also Ueno/Asakusa. Plus the staff is really friendly and I love hanging out at the cafe/bar when I have down time.

Always enjoyed Sakurak Hotel Ikebukuro. Convenient location with lots of places to go to at night when the trains stop which I really liked a lot.

Sakura is really a Hotel..rooms are cleaned everyday, you get towels and Yukatas, slippers, tooth brush, etc but with the personality of a Hostel: nice staff, good environment, etc. The bad part is that we didn´t have WIFI access in our room (third floor) and that checkout is extremely early (10am),

This looks more like a hotel to me than a hostel! It lacks the ambience and coziness of a hostel! There is no common room where to chill instead there is a restaurant/bar opened 24 hours. The hotel offers a very good deal for breakfast with Y 350 is really good The hotel is fine clean and staff is polite and friendly but in Japan that is common everywhere! Very good beer selection at the bar.
