Despite booking a room and arriving on-time we found out it had already been given to someone else. They arranged for us to go across the road to stay instead but the rooms smelt of smoke at were not as we requested. We were given 3 badly cooked steaks in compensation but no free drinks as originally promised. We were left in no choice but to accept as we were running the Manchester Marathon the next day and most local hotels were already booked.

Before we arrived we read reviews (bad move). We were surprised staff friendly, really good atmosphere in the pub and the band were great. We had booked for one night as we we going to Manchester Arena not far to walk. The only down side was the treak to the toilet especially in the night. Apart from that we would definately go back and have recommended to friends.

Although the hotel wasn't in Man central, it was easy to find from downtown. We arrived 9 hours later than stated & our room had been cancelled from the list (thankfully a spare was available). The window in the room was unable to shut/open completely. The heating didn't work as well. The warm water was available only at certain timings. We are able to hear any music from the bar and traffic on the roads in our room. The staff however was very friendly and the bar + live music were great!

The draft coming through the window was more of a breeze, but apart from that the staff were excellent and the stay was good value for money.

Really friendly and helpful staff. This hostel isn't fancy (e.g. the mattress on my bed was quite uncomfortable, and the wifi didn't work in my bedroom ) but it is good value for the price. And the food in the pub is excellent!

Dear Sir or Madam, we are sorry to announce the heaters in your Hotel were broken and it was freezing cold inside the rooms. Moreover the windows didn't fit in thewindow frame, so that there was draught inside the room. Another problem was that the flush didn't work. We were also astonished that the check- in was so late also the booking confirmation said that we should be there at 11am the latest. Actually it opened at 2am. All in all we have to say that the value for the money was not enoug

Clean room, clean toilets (they HAVE soap in the shared toilets), shower with hot water worked great. Service was excellent, great bar atmosphere. My only complaint, and this was small, was that the window was unable to be shut in my room. However, the heater was more than adequate to compensate. Would not recommend if you aren't used to sleeping with traffic/noise (as it's on a busy street), but if you are used to it like me, then 100% recommend it.
