The steel-frame of the bunk bed was weak, and the quality of mattress and frame was so low, that the sleeping experience became a nightmare. Each little move of either lower or upper person was fully transmitted to the other person and amplified.

Our stay was indeed very pleasant here.i liked the fact that you guys had a kitchen which was very well kept and equipped. In order to save money on food we were able to cook ourselves. thanks for the wonderful stay we had.

I really enjoyed my time in the Salmon Weir! It was just one night but I felt perfectly comfortable pottering around the house getting myself washed and fed for the night. It felt like a little home away from home and the staff were really pleasant. My only problem with it would be that the pillows were very thin, but that's really a minor gripe ;D A wonderful little place, fantastic value for money! :)

Very friendly hostel, nice staff (even thought me to play back gammon), perfect location. Living room is great for guest to get to know each other, with many games, dvds, guitars (left and right handed) and such.

The hostel was clean and comfortable, I understand that it's not the hostels fault but every resident staying there didn't include us at all, even though they could speak fluent english. Again, not the hostels fault just bad guests.. but apart from that everything was great.

i didn't like the fact that one didn't have their own key entering the premises and the curfew was ridiculous but it didn't really matter as i stayed somewhere else.

This is a laid back hostel. It is great if you are looking to hang out although it is not the ideal place for massive partying. The staff is lovely and they work hard to keep the place clean and orderly.
