A really great hostel. Met loads of really nice people. The staff at the time were incredibly nice and fun to hang out with. The showers were decent, as were the beds and there are plenty of longtermers to talk too who know their way around Galway really well.

the afternoon staff was rude and stupid and the treatment received was really disagreeable. there is a 3 am curfew and later on you are locked outside. the toilets weren't as clean as they should be even considering the king of accomodation it was. I have been in lots of hostels and this was one of the worse.

The rooms were quite small and the bunk beds were the worst I had ever come across.

I'd loved to stay in the hostel, the atmosphere was great, more like family. ou didn't feel the need to lock the door and you didn't feel like a stranger. Very nice, if I'll go back to Galway I'll stay at Salmon Weir Hostel again!

Rooms were very cold with no heating. Very small and smelly rooms also. In a very good location with helpfull and friendly staff.

The beds were very unsafe, but the whole rest of the hostel was nice. Especially the kitchen is a nice place to cook.

we had a great stay here, and i would like to make a special mention about how good the staff where. they went out of there way to help and give advice. my only grieveance was there was nowhere to park ur car so had to use one 5mins walk away, and get up for 8.30 every morn to pay the ticket!

Cozy hostel, felt like being at home. Great staff, close to town and supermarkets, warm showers. Check out the book called 'Sexy Christmas Shorts' close to the computer in the common room, you'll never want to put it down.
