This place is very clean and the bathrooms are amazing! You could literally eat food off the bathroom floor, so clean. Props for giving free body wash as well, lots of hostels don't offer that.
The staff are hands down what make this place! Very helpful and friendly. Room was nice but aircon took a long time to make a difference, Situated on busy road so can be noisy in the morning. Enjoyed our stay here... Excellent street food right outside the door at night.
Great place to stay. Walking distance from train station. Sood who I'm guessing is the manager was super helpful and answered all our questions. He also makes great scrambled eggs!!

A really nice hostel. Comfortable beds, clean, good wifi (at least when it wasn't busy) and great facilties. I booked for 2 nights but ended up staying for a week as I had a lot of freelance work to do and Chumphon is a quiet city where there isn't much to do; no distractions. Go here if you're looking for a nice place to stay while traveling to your next destination.
We used Salsa Hostel as a jumping off point for getting to the islands in the south. It was a solid, dorm-room hostel, nothing too notable in one direction or another - clean, friendly staff, relatively near the train station and with shuttles to the ferry.
Loved it, best place we have stayed in Thailand so far and so cheap for what you get. We stopped over for one night before heading to the islands and had the private room on the top floor, even though we were a couple the bunk beds didn't faze us and too our suprise we had our own private shower and sink on the terrace which was really clean!! Definitely recommend!!! The breakfast was really nice to and so were the staff!!!
This is the place to stay if you're in chumphon! Got some mad breakfast, and a clean site. The owner will go out of his way to make sure you enjoy yourself 100%!
This hostel was the best hostel I have ever stayed in. I feel all hostels should use this hostel as a model for there business. If there was a rating beyond excellent for cleanliness I would give it that. This place was clean, and the receptionist was super helpful. Very, very, helpful. Excellent service. Thanks

We had a pleasant stay here at salsa hostel during Songkran days. The location is amazing. Its located near where the minibus drops you off from Suratthaini and also very close to the bus station back to bkk. Around the hostel you will be amazed and fascinated by all the street food. Its cheap and simply amazing , all really authentic !!!! The first day we got there we joined the water splash festival just right in front of the hostel for the whole evening and the owner is super friendly &kind.

We stayed here one night a a stopover before heading to Koh Tao. Stayed in a double room on 4th floor. Clean, comfortable room. AC worked great, fridge was nice to have. Shared bathrooms were clean. Central to the city. Owner was friendly and very helpful! Staff definitely made the stay worthwhile. Helped us book our ferry and continental breakfast was exceptional. Would highly recommend to anyone. Thanks for a great stay!
The hostel facilities are good however the unfriendly behavior of the staff turns the place in a bad place. Seems that is only one guy in charge of the place, when we made simple questions to him he reply in a rude, mad and unfriendly way making us feel no welcome.
Very close to train station, within walking distance. Didn't get to see much only there one night. Room was very nice, comfty beds and clean enough showers. A little smelly. There wasn't much atmosphere there but wasn't really looking for much. Breakfast included was great, just thought staff could be a little more smiley and friendly. Overall PERFECT for one night stay before heading to Ko Tao
Well.we just stayed for 1night. The owner is an easy going person.he would talk to you anything if you want. The staff are very polite.Tasty breakfast included. It is clean anywhere in the hostel.speaking of the location, it is a little bit far from the beach.but you can take the local bus to the beach(about 20mins).nice place to stay.
Only stayed in Salsa hostel for one night and arrived really late for the one night. Our plan was just to take a ferry from Chumphon to Koh Tao. Regardless of this I would highly recommend this hostel for anybody! The guy at the reception was super-friendly, the hostel had a really cute cat who liked to cuddle and they served delicious breakfast including egss, toast, fruits and coffee/tea. Dorms were really clean and comfortable as well!
I planned to stay there only one night, but when I noticed how excellent hostel this is, I stayed actually 4 nights. This place is very clean, well equipped, staff is nice and everything works great. And the breakfast is just awesome, one of the best Ive seen in any hostel anywhere in the world, and Ive been travelling quite a lot. Strongly recommended!
