Very very good hostel, the staff was really helpful and gave us another room with ac for a very good price. We enjoyed our stay in Sam Sen Sam very much and totally encourage you to go there. Calm street not far from the busy streets of banglamphu ideally located

We wish that our private room felt more secure for leaving our belongings in. The head of the bed had large sliding Windows which could be yanked open when locked, and since it was ground floor, they were accessible. Otherwise it was an acceptable and cheap place to stay. Look for the resident one eyed dog snorIng around the property, named Pee Pee!

Room was clean and comfy but the main highlight is the staff and atmosphere of the place. Staff was kind and really helpful; we even got yogurt as we checked out earlier than the breakfast time. They make the small things matter and the place is beautiful!

We stayed there for a few nights and it's location is great! we had a very small single room with a bed what was ok for those few days traveling as a couple but I wouldn't go there if you are a young solo traveler. But overall we have an very good memory of this place and the breakfast ambience with soft music is amazing to start the day

I was really surprised about the lack of AC in my room. I managed to find an equivalent room just off Samsen road for less than half the price and with AC. Also the lady at the reception desk was very unhelpful when I asked about tours. Good points were: great quiet location, nice simple breakfast and the guy really helped me with bus info to the markets.

Absolutely gorgeous hostel. Had a wonderful homey feel, with really great facilities. The staff were very knowledgable and always keen to help and give advice. If I ever end up back in Bangkok this is where I will stay!

Sam Sen Sam was a wonderful place to stay. We flew in New Years Eve and were exhausted. Sam Sen Sam was close enough for us to walk to Khao San and have a good time, but far enough were we could sleep comfortably. Really a nice location, and close to nice bars and restaurants. Rooms and bathroom were clean. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was basic, but nice enough. Would recommend for travelers looking for a quiet, relaxing but centrally located spot.

Excellent place to stay in a quiet street close to everything. The owners are super friendly and Erik help you with ANYTHING you need. They explain you how to get to any place by bus which is super cheap compared to taxi or tuktuk and always welcome you with a smile. Breakfast is a bit too small of your have a big stomach (2 slices of bread + coffee/tea) but you have lots of places to eat nearby at good prices as well. Would definitely stay here again!

Incredible hostel, friendly staff. 10 min walk from the main backpacker street which is perfect if you like sleep as well as having a good time.

The hotel was great. It was an ideal type of place for a couple, as we stayed in a private double room with A/C. The shared bathrooms were absolutely not an issue. They were clean, the toilets were well stocked, and neither of us ever had to wait in a line. Breakfast was a bit simple, i.e. it could be vastly improved with a fried egg, but to be honest we cannot complain for the price we paid. Staff were excellent and always helpful and even made the effort to remember our names.

The hostel is really nice and the breakfast was good, there wasn't much opportunity to meet other travellers . There is building work being done on the adjoining building and there was loud drilling throughout the day from the morning . Also we were woken by the noise of small kids downstairs , we like to sleep in a bit so this was disruptive. Was quiet at night though . No air con so was hot in the room with just a fan.

Location is good, and the staff is really helpfull. The room is basic and small but very clean and so where the bathrooms. Just book a room with A/C , it's totally worth it, i made the mistake of booking a room with just a fan and it getts boiling hot .The breakfast is really nice.

enjoyed our time at this hostel, staff were very helpful and friendly. really enjoyed the breakfast in the morning, it was delicious. hostel was about 15 minute walk from koh San road, but that was nice as you weren't in the crazy centre of it all. only downside was it was too quiet for our liking and lacked a travel let atmosphere.

10/15 min walk from Khoa San rd so close enough to bars but far enough to be quiet. Hostel has a homely feel. Safe available if required.
